Oh, God! Another Class Action Lawsuit

AUTHOR: Larry - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, March 05, 2011

Where you ever seen a class action settlement that put money in the pockets of the plaintiffs?  Usually the lawyers get millions for their efforts and the plaintiffs get a coupon for ten cents off their next purchase of a Diet Pepsi.  If I was Public Storage I would welcome a class action lawsuit because then I could dispense with thousands of claims for about 10 cents each.

Aside from that you should know that in most states a rental of self-storage space is considered a commercial lease.  If you read the contract carefully you will likely find a clause that says they are not liable for damage of any kind even if they knew the damage was likely to occur.  About the only time they are liable is that if an employee deliberately destroys or steals your property.  (I am not saying this is fair.)

As a tenant it was up to you to foresee all that could happen to your property and pack it accordingly.  Plastic totes rather than cardboard boxes, for example.  You also should have insured your property.  If you had renter's or home owner's insurance, your stored property may be covered.

PUBLIC SCAM STORAGE

My issue is in Houston, TX which we are trying to get a class action suit together as we speak- It was NOT A BREAK IN - PUBLIC STORAGE cut my locks and moved my items to a different storage unit with out my permission or knowledge until after the fact when I contacted the PS office. during the course of them moving my items - items were broken / boxes crushed- furniture broken and items stolen and or missing.  PUBLIC STORAGE takes zero responsibility for their actions and has tryed to stall claims  denie claims every way possibile not to take responsibility.

If you have / had and issue with any PUBLIC STORAGE and there GED staff FONDREN / 59  - 713.782.1927   or Jeff Fortune 832.607.3260  BEWARE !  These people are SCAM artist -   MEDIA is doing a report on this company-  a similar class action suit was recently settled in CALI  .. clearly states PUBLIC STORAGE violated the Law and has to pay back millions on monies they have stolen from current and previous customers.
