Royal Holiday Vacation Club Broken promises on VIP services and cancellation policy. Miami Florida

on october 17, 2007, while on my honeymoon in punta cana, dominican republic my wife and i signed a contract with royal holiday vacation club. we signed a package that was good for 30 years with a payment plan of $185 a month with a $1700 down payment. our salesman, steve macafee, promised us vip services which included our personal ride to and from airport, personal check in services, free bottles of alcohol, etc. he also stated that any point during our contract if we were unsatisfied, we could simply cancel our account.

once we got home and went through our book they gave us i realized the vip services were only for a platinum member and we signed on as bronze members. i called to ask about the vip services but no-one would help me. then i called about cancelling my account, but in the contract there is a "no cancellation policy." i disputed that our salesman told us there was a cancellation policy, but this was not in writing. i then stated that i didn't want the policy and tried to work out a cancellation for me, but they didn't care they simply wanted their payment. i made 1 payment because they said it would show my good faith effort in order to work out a cancellation. that was december 28, 2007.

i was told i would hear from a representative the following week concerning the matter but i heard nothing. the only calls i get is for payment. i have disputed the down payment with my credit card company, and have also filed a complain with the Better Business Bureau in Miami, Fl. i simply want my account cancelled and my down payment back.
