February 18 2018 sat for a presentation of a Royal Holiday vacation club to help out the concierge at Bavaro Princess Resort and Spa in Punta Cana. I arrived the day before on the 17 and on my way to breakfast I was stopped in lobby by Mr. Amauris Yorro asking me about my night which was horrible. I have a bad back and was actually going to complain about the bed and see if it can be changed. He jumped on the opportunity to befriend my boyfriend and I. He was very nice and said he would take care of the bed situation and if we could do him a favor and sit for an hour presentation to help him out. He promised an enticing gift package of a massage and gift basket. I figured what could it hurt since he did help us out with changing the bed for us. Little did I know we would be at presentation for 4 hours! They served us drinks and we met with the first sales rep. I usually travel 2 a year and as a teacher I travel during presidents week.

They described the credit program and for 15000 thousand credits a year they broke down a finance package. I specifically asked if the credits accumulate year to year because a lot of the hotels listed in their book were at least 19,000 credits. They said "Yes” and that I can even pay maintenance earlier to get the following years credits. They showed me how I would be saving on travel which is not true. After being worn down by the sales Reps I decided to sign. There is no cancellation policy on the contract and that was never discussed except that if I couldn’t use credits they would sell for me or I can give to family. 5 days later and on my return I looked at the program and website and realized I cannot transfer credits year to year you lose them. Doing more research I found numerous complaints on Royal Holidsy and how they misrepresent what is on the contract, they lie and do not disclose all the information. They refuse to cancel contracts and they rob you if your money by not crediting your account.

I immediately called 4 days later requesting to rescind my contract and was told to send the request in writing to the resort. I emailed Venessa Drai at Bavaro and she inquired why I wanted to rescind. After telling her about the credits she out right lied and said she never said the points transferred and that she cannot cancel the contract. I told her that they misrepresented what Is on the contract and I was demanding they rescind and give me my down payment of 2765.00 back to my credit card. In meantime I am disputing with my card and closed account. They will let me know in may. Royal holidsy assigned a rep Reggie Hernandez who was trying to help and eventually I received a cancellation contract but the contract states that I cannot write anything on social media or I will be fined up to 20,000 dollars and that although they agree to cancel I will not get a refund of my deposit because they did no wrong. Seriously???

They want to rob me of my hard earned money. I forwarded that email to service at Royal Holiday requesting my deposit and a revised contract cancellation. Mean while I am being called to make a payment for March. I have told them that I am not paying for anything as I am waiting on them to revise the cancellation and credit my account. This has been ongoing since I signed on February 18 2018. I’ve seen other people go through this for years and have lost thousands more money but I haven’t seen anything recent. This company is not trustworthy and they are a bunch of scammers. I am being persistent because I have no intention of staying I thus contract when they misrepresented everything they told me. Still waiting on them to respond and refund my money. In the meantime I’m in their FB page and reported on BBB and on here to WARN CONSUMERS TO STAY AWARE AND AWAY FROM THIS FRAUD OF A COMPANY!

I've spent a lot of money and i was scammed by other companies trying to cancel my timeshare.
My advice is that if you're going to hire a company to help you with the problem, DO NOT PAY ANYTHING UPFRONT, because it use to be a fraud.
I did a research on internet and i found some interesting articles, i recommend you to read this one:
