I brought my new 2010 hyundai into the Southwest Hyundai dealership service department, located in Albuquerque at 8800 Lomas NE, for a simple oil change 6 months ago. Recently I decided to change the oil myself and discovered that the oil filter had never been replaced. Not once! It's easy to tell if its been replaced before because the oil filter housing is plastic and scuffs slightly when it is removed with the needed 27mm socket. Before removing it I observed that the plastic was flawless. In addition the oil was almost pitch black, and only 3,000 miles were put on the car within the 6 months. It is crystal clear to me that the service department lied about changing the oil. Anyone who cares about their car should avoid Southwest Hyundai Albuquerque like the plague! If they can lie about a simple oil change, just imagine what else they are capable of lying about. This wouldn't be the first time that the service manager, James Sanchez, has lied about service to my car. This dealership is not to be trusted!
