The TORO Company TORO does not stand behind their Total Coverage Guarantee Bloomington Minnesota

I purchased a 2008 Toro lawn mower on 3/28/08 at Home Depot. After 5 hours of use the rear drive wheels became locked, the mower could not be pulled in a backwards. The wheels however continued to go forward at a rapid rate of speed.

The mower model is TORO 20066, it is advertised as 22" Recycler Lawn Mower. It has what TORO calls "Personal Pace". The idea is as you push the handle downward the selfpropelled rear wheels keeps up with your pace of walk.

TORO states right on the back of their 374-0052 REv. B booklet, that this mower is supported by The TORO Total Coverage Guarantee. Like the products TORO makes, their Guarantee is as good as their products, neither are any good.

I was instructed to take this defective 3 month old mower to an authorized dealer for repair on 6/25/08. I did just this, and after a week I was called and told the mower is ready to be picked up. Great! The mower was repaired at a cost of $34.50, I asked what about the Warranty? I was told I cut grass that was to "high", to tall. I asked the Service person what where the limits? He said he didn't know but what ever I cut it was to tall.

I would like to know if anyone else out there has been ripped by TORO.
