I ordered a package, specifically a vanity from Midweststore on Amazon. The package arrive. The mirror was shattered, the desk drawer was shattered. The mirror had been previously taped, as if it was broken prior to shipping. I could not find a return policy on Amazon, I called Amazon and the representative stated that Midweststore did not have a return policy. My hands were cut up from the shattered mirror and bleeding. The Midweststore did not offer a phone number through Amazon. I contacted the store through Amazon, which I was connected with a person that had no customer service education, spoke like a 13 year old with a bad attitude. This person called me a silly customer, stated I did not deserve good customer service, then like Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde stated they would replace the broken pieces. Then, the next email, which I saved for proof if anyone wants it I will provide it, stated "what replacement?" Sounds like two different people emailing and one should not be talking to any customers. Amazon stated that there would be a shipping label to sent the vanity back, which is over 70 pounds. I just received an email from the Midweststore stating "We will not provide a shipping label".

I am picturing an uneducated kid selling on Amazon. Buyer beware. Amazon is getting me a refund, however I will have to take the cost of sending this press board trash back to the Midweststore owner.

False Report

AUTHOR: uBuyFurniture - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, April 24, 2010

This customer emailed us when the item was received, and stated the mirror was shattered, and she had severely cut herself, and needed to be rushed into surgery, and that if we didn't send a replacement for the mirror sh would file a claim. We responded to the email 30 minutes after it was received, and received another email from the customer 5 minutes after our response. That meant her emergency surgery claim was completely false, which we pointed out to her that making a statement like that in an effort to scare us into replacing the mirror is not on unnecessary, but morally wrong, and we would rather have the item returned, and we issue a refund, that deal with someone who would make up something like that, when all she needed to do was advise us the mirror was damaged in shipping, and we would have sent a replacement.  We tried to work with this customer to get the item returned, but she decided she wouldn't work with us. Thus customer obviously has a flare fo the dramatics. Anyone would make up a claim of being severely cut, in an effort to get what she wants, instead of just letting us know she needs a mirror replaced, obviously has a problem.
