I took my ring to walmart in sanford maine and asked the lady behind the ring counter if she knew if they could re engrave my kids names on my ring. i said to her i dont want nothing to happen to it until they let me know how much and if it could be done. well she was very nice about it and called the jewelry company which is Keepsake jewelry company and asked if it was at all possible that they could be redone and if they thought the names could be put back on. she told me they said that i could send my ring in and the would call us and let us know price.

i hesitated because i didnt want my ring to be lost in mail ( my kids worked hard for this ring ) it meant alot to me, so i decided to send it. i waited about a month checking every now and then to see if it was done yet and then on june 10 i think i asked they said it was there. i was so excited the lady opened the box and said see it was back she asked if i wanted to put it on, i said ill wait cause i had my mom in her wheel chair and we juss wanted to get outa the store. anyways she said there was no charge i said ok ty we left.

i got home and i got to put my ring on OR SO I THOUGHT the ring didnt fit. i was like thats odd so i got to looking at it it wasnt the same color, the big chip piece that was gone was fixed. i was like WAIT A MINUTE this AINT MY RING. so before i went back to walmart to confront it i stopped at a local jewelry shop and asked if they could tell the difference she said right away it was new. So i went back to walmart and asked the lady at the counter where is my ring. she said what do you mean i said this aint my ring. she called keepsake and they told her the REPLACED MY RING WITH A NEW ONE. this is when i got pissed. i said no no no no I WANT MY RING. after about half hour the jewelry manager came out she asked the same d**n questions how do u kno its not yours blah blah blah.

again i explained she gave me a remark like its NEW
i fumed and said i dont want new I WANT MY RING. then a third person came out this being the lady that took my order when i dropped it off. she almost instantly went out back when she came back she brought a smart a** manager that asked me all the questions again. like i was a liar or something is how i felt after 5 times of saying HOW DO YOU KNOW ITS NOT YOURS. i said listen lady the first lady here already told me they made me a new ring all she would say is we will return ur money.

i got pissed at her and said i want numbers i will be calling someone about this. i looked her right in the face and said I dont want your d**n money or i dont want this useless f*****g ring i want my ring the one i dropped off the one that was suppose to be repaired not replace. i left the store with keepsake number and district manager number. i got home called keepsake they immediatley said OH I cant talk about this with you you dont work at the store. i called district manager and spoke with a lady there she said she would call and straighten it out she did call me back and she told me that my ring was destroyed and the made a new one to replace it and she asked how they could make it right. i told her i am going to get legal advice.

i dont think walmart had any right to do what they did with my ring. i also think that this keepsake company that does there rings should fess up NOBODY SAID SORRY TO ME to me. the ring was unplaceable but to sanford walmart they dont care. even if i dont sue i want the world to know what a bunch of cheap a******s they have working for them in sanford maine. oh and the comment the lady said to me about my order was OH I MUST OF MIS UNDERSTOOD . No lady YOU f****d up and nobody wants to take the blame Now i dont have my gift my kids worked hard for. this new ring i would just as soon throw in the trash it is no good.

i hope to all of you that have jewelry redone refixed make sure you check it before you get it back. im sure plenty more people been ripped off by this. seeking legal advice!!

I just have to say this:

Walmart is not the best place in the world. The prices are the cheapest around, because they have everything supplied from mainly third world countries who endorse low-wage labor. Also, they do not pay their employees much at all, I know as I have worked there. I know what the inside is like. Prices stay low, because they do not need to pay their workers a decent amount of money.

Next, I want to say that sometimes things happen. As I see that you are frustrated with Walmart for what happened to your ring, you are completely wrong in blaming the sore for it. Although Walmart processed your ring and what was to be done with it, it was actually the jewelery company (Keepsake) that was responsible for ruining your original ring. Keepsake was responsible for engraving the names on your ring, but instead they ruined it and sent you a new one. It is important to realize this. Once the ring left Walmart, they had no control over what happened. The company was supposed to be professional, but unknown to Walmart's knowledge, they were not.

It is truly a shame that you can not realize this on your own. Instead of blaming individuals who had no responsibility when it came to your ring, instead try blaming the true offender. In that case, I would think next time before you go lashing out on someone for something they had no control over.
