alco electronics BEWARE of RCA DVD players, serviced by ALCO Electronics Lock Port New York

I purchased an RCA Blue Ray DVD Home Theater System at Walmart 4/29/13. By Early August is was grinding and audio was going out. On August 31, 2013 I called the 1-877-252-6873 number which apparently is ALCO Electronics, I was on hold for 45 minutes. I was then told I had to pay to ship the item to them in Lock Port, New York. It took 6 weeks to get the DVD back. Within weeks the grinding began again and the volumne would cut in and out. On 2/6/14 I called the same number and was on hold 30 minutes, the woman would not give me her name but told me she would send me a prepaid shipping label to return the item again. On 2/18/2014 I called and the woman who answered the phone was so rude I asked for a supervisor (this is after I was on hold for over 30 minutes), she then hung up on me.  I called back and tried to explain the situation to yet another operator after being on hold 3o minutes, she stated the label was sent to me 2/14/14. I asked why it took two weeks to send a label and that I was not happy about it. She said she did not care that it was that way. She kept yelling at me saying she could not hear me. Without telling me, I was put on hold again and when she came back on the line she asked for my email. I gave it to her and she said no wonder you didn't get it, there was a typo. So, I asked if they emailed it why was I told it was mailed the 14th? Again she was rude and without answering the question she hung up. I called back, not being sure I would get a label and after a 45 minute hold I was hung up on when I asked for a supervisor. I again called right back and was on hold an hour, while waiting I searched the internet for the Corporate office and could not find anyone who took responsibility or gave me any information. I am currently on hold (for over 1 hour now) to find out if they are even sending a label. I have had the DVD 10 months, it was gone for 6 weeks for repair, didn't work correctly 2 months out of those 10 months. Do not buy this product or any related produts. I have now spoken to another extremely rude woman who told me the label will be emailed to me Friday 2/21/14, I asked why it took 4 days to email a label and she said thats just the way we do it. I advised her I was writing abd blogging about the company and found many many complaints, and she said notginh but ate potatoe chips in my ear and said do what you have to do I don't care. Stay away from RCA and ALCO Electronics. If you purchase a different brand check to make sure ALCO Electronics does not service it, and don't buy it at Walmart because they are just as rude and thoughless. ALCO is located at 85 Grand Street Lock Port New York 14094. Stay away from them unless you have hours to spend on the phone on hold and like being rude to and have a produt that does not and probably never will work correctly.
