Bongous has a feature, for a fee, whereby they will photograph any item that you purchase. I had bought a guitar, and clicked on the "pic" button to request a picture of it. I waited a few days, and nothing happened. I contacted their customer service department, via their live chat. They told me that they would "escalate" the matter and get in touch with their operations department. I would soon learn that the term, "escalate", apparently means absolutely nothing. I contacted customer service 5 or 6 times, both by phone and chat to complain about not receiving images of my guitar, with nothing ever coming of it.
Today is December 25th, 2012. In signing into my account on this fine Christmas day, I see that in the "support log" of the help section that a customer service representative posted that the operations department is still working on getting me my images. This, after only waiting over a month for them to take them for me. The bottom line is, I have no pictures, and I doubt I ever will, because...
On December 2nd of this month, I flew from Bermuda, where I reside, to Oklahoma, to visit my mother. Their website clearly states that any order to ship received by 4PM EST will be shipped THE SAME DAY. I looked at the FEDEX site to determine how many days in transit it would be for my guitar to be delivered to Oklahoma, and timed my ship order so that it would arrive while I was there.
After a few days of seeing that my ship order was still "processing", and hearing that same word, "escalate" used on me again and again whenever I contacted customer service, I had to resign myself to the fact that these people are inept, and unable to provide service in a professional and timely manner.
Being that my order was "processing" for so long, I can only conclude that my package never made it into FEDEX's hands until after about a week of my submission of the ship order. "Joyfully", my guitar arrived the week AFTER I left the States to come back home to Bermuda. Thank you, bongous, for screwing things up, again...
Oh...and I almost forgot....the FEDEX "tracking number" that they provided me didn't work. When I attempted to track my guitar through FEDEX's website, it said they didn't have any information on a package with that number. Calls on chats with customer service could solve that one, either....
I'll be jumping ship as soon as my mandatory 3 month commitment for upgrading to a business membership is up. Hopefully, unlike bongous, I can find a company I can depend on.
So, if you are looking for a company to forward packages for you, I would highly recommend that you steer clear of bongus and look into doing business with one of their competitors. That is, unless you like hearing the word, "escalate", enjoy being let down, and don't mind paying good money for the privelege.
