I bought a bedroom suit with bed, nightstand, dresser with mirror, and chest of drawers on Aug. 30, 2005. I was told at that time that the dresser and chest of drawers were on order and would arrive in 4-6 weeks. It is now November 2 and I still have not received the furniture promised to me. The assistant manager, Cory Galbreaith, called me on Oct. 31 to say the furniture was in and to call him to schedule a time for delivery. I then spoke with a sales associate, Jimmy, and scheduled a time for Wed., Nov.2 between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m.. He then called me back to say they were doing national inventory and couldn't make the delivery until 4-7 p.m. that night. I called the store around 7:30 p.m. to report I still had not received my furniture and was told at that time by the manager, Joel, that the furniture has not even arrived at the warehouse and may not even be in this year. He was very indifferent about this problem and could not explain why I was called and scheduled for delivery. I attempted to call the district manager and only got his voice mail. Previous to this, the bed and nightstand were delivered on Sept. 3 but the delivery men did not have the right amount of slats to hold the mattress in place so that the mattress tilted when I would get out of bed. I called the store and the men came back to screw in the slats I had but did not have a drill with them. The third time they came without screws. The fourth time, the district manager, Ray, came with the slats and a drill and completed the assembly himself. At that time I was promised a gift certificate from the company to a restaurant of my choice when the rest of the furniture came in. These problems are still unresolved at this time

POSTED: Thursday, December 15, 2005

Regarding the previous complaint with Matress Firm on Bryant Irvin Rd. in Ft. Worth, Tx., I did receive the furniture promised to me and will be given my gift certificate once this complaint is removed. I am writing to ask you to remove the complaint since the company did correct the problems and even will compensate me for the trouble. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
