Monitronics International Fraud, Deceptive Business Practices ripoff Dallas Texas

In August 2006 I signed an agreement to have my alarm monitored by Monitronics. March 2007 I was required to move by the Federal Government, and sent them a letter as directed along with a copy of my Permanent Change of Station (PCS) order.

I received a call from the individual that installed the system on my cell voicemail (Systems Alert). He was upset and stated that I needed to talk to him before I would be released from my agreement. when I called him back, he was much more calm and stated that they always worked well with the military and the government. He asked when he could come out and get the system. We agreed to a time.

When I came home he had taken the system out but left quite a mess of the walls and floor. I called back and he said he'd come out and clip the hanging wires but that was all. I then wrote a letter to the BBB in Texas who forwarded it to Georgia.

On August 14, 2007 I received a call from Monitronics on my cell phone from a woman at Monitronics asking if I really wanted to cancel my service. I queried her as to why I was getting this call six weeks after I sent them a letter to that effect, and that the system had been removed since early July. She abruptly hung up so I called back and asked for a supervisor.

After much stalling and re-reading my agreement (I think to get more money from their 900#), I was put on the phone with Johnny. He started in the same vein trying to stall for time, and telling me that they had to keep the line open waiting on Systems Alert and that's why I was continuing to be billed (even though there isn't a system in the house.
