My wife and I recently purchased the Travelbridge Associate agreement. We have attended three training classes. Recently I became aware of the RIP-OFF Report and reports submitted by others indicating their experiences with Travelbridge. We feel that we are victims of a rip-off scheme. I would very much like to get a refund for my payment. If others have either tried or succeded in geting a refund or are in the process of attempting to get one, I would be interested in how to initiate my attempt to get a refund.

What to do

Allen,

You are luckier than most victims of this scam since you live in the same county where Travelbridge operates from. That makes it more feasible to proceed against them.

Gather up everything -- contracts, advertisements, brochures, correspondence -- you have regarding your agreement with Travelbridge. Find a lawyer who specializes in contract law and take everything to him for review and tell him you want to rescind the contract.

You may or may not have a case. Your can bet your butt that Travelbridge's lawyers drafted some almost bulletproof contracts.

Be prepared to go to court and pay the lawyer in advance. If less than $10,000 is involved you can go through the Justice Court, which may take about 6 months. The good news is that if you prevail Arizona law provides that the losing party pays all attorney fees. The bad news is that if you lose, you pay all the attorney fees.

You can file a complaint with the Arizona Attorney General's office but they almost never recover money for an individual.

Good luck
