I refinanced an existing Washington Mutual loan without taking out addition funds. I was given a written "Good Faith Estimate" of $993. When the charges were submitted for my signature they amounted to $2,221. I finally got them to reduce it to $1,400, and just decided to get on with the deal, because there was no one who cared I was getting screwed. I didn't know there was a Bad Business Bureau available.
