Carvana listed vehicle as "Clean Carfax - Never been in crash". However, Carfax showed "Crash - Moderate Damage". 

I did not see this until after vehicle purchase. I contacted Carvana to discuss. Carvana customer representative stated "sorry about that", but was unable or unwilling to do anything further to help.

About a 2 years later, I was unfortunately involved in a collision with this vehicle. The vehicle was considered a total loss even though it possibly should not have due to the extent of damage from my collision, it was hard to determine whether or not the "total loss" was in part due to the vechile having previous and non-disclosed, "moderate damage", prior to my purchasing.

You may not realize it, but Carfax does take time to post information.  So it may very well have had a clean Carfax when you bought it, and the accident showed up later.  Either way, when you buy a new car, you should be looking over the car itself, not the Carfax.  Accidents don't always show up on Carfax.  I've seen plenty of cars with serious accident damage and a pristine Carfax. If you don't know what accident damage looks like, ask a mechanic to inspect the car for you. 

In any case, professionally repaired accident damage generally doesn't impact the value a whole lot on a used car.  The main factors are age, mileage, and condition.

And your complaint is quite ridiculous.  YOU totalled the car by getting into presumably a major wreck.  How does it matter if it was previously in an accident, that was presumably repaired well enough that you didn't notice anything?  Even if it had a completely clean Carfax before that and it was in absolutely pristine condition, YOU WRECKED IT. Why would an insurance company spend $10,000 repairing something that will be worth $5000 when the repairs are complete?  An older car that was in a major wreck isn't worth a whole lot regardless of its prior history.

Dear irv lol. What’even more impressive is how much of a lack of a life you must have if you spend your time trolling this forum. There’s always an abundance of you pos’s. Apparently you misread the sites code of conduct. Never fails… This has nothing to do with "financial sense”. This is about trust. If anything it was senseless of me to trust an auto dealer in that the vehicle wasn’t in a crash prior to my purchase. Regardless, my senselessness doesn’t in any way negate or change the fact that Carvana was wrong, and falsely presented the condition of a vehicle. Which is why I posted this. I don’t care nor do i need the $. This is about ethics, principles and safety. If I had to guess, you’re either directly in the car business or a related function or service. Which is why you’re on here making comments about something that doesn’t concern you. Either way, only a loser posts comments like you did. Good luck with that.

You check out the car AFTER you make the purchase! How impressive is THAT??? Then you come here to cry, whine and stomp your feet wailing how little FINANCIAL COMMON SENSE you have!!! Once again, still another leading example of the epidemic of LACK OF FINANCIAL COMMON SENSE. Don't bother...I don't work for them.
