I am going through an unbelievable experiance with the Razer organization and the Blade 15 Advanced lemon laptop i purchased May 2020. They are an unethical company marketing the Blade 15 as a high end and performance laptop however they continue to sell them globally knowing about the many design flaws and defective batteries for years.

3 months after my one year warranty expired our blade 15 burst right open.  It is well taken care of and not taken off of the desk since i bought it.  When i submitted the request for rma and went back and forth for weeks answering redundant questions, they informed us it appears to be a bloated defective battery.  After they informed me, I read batteries were covered for 2 years on the limited warranty.  This rma was issued 3 months after the standard 1 year warranty expired however after reading the limited warranty of 2 years of defective batteries I included it in the letter when sending in for repair early Sept 2021.

They shipped it back Sept 29, 2021 and replaced the battery at no cost.  Around Two months or so later, it started running on the hot side and then getting lines across the bottom of the screen.  I sent another request for another rma ticket, hours of troubleshooting and $99 later for their required diagnostic fee, they came back saying it's another bloated battery.  In addition, now having a damaged lcd that was absolutely caused by their service and/or second bad battery.

I don't think they even replaced it with a new battery the first time but either way it had noticable issues mid Dec 2021, two to 2 1/2  months after the first repair Sept 2021.  They quoted me $472 to repair it and refused to honor any warranty terms.  Including the one that says if they repair fails within 90 days of their service dept fixing it, they must cover it again under warranty at no cost.  I was understandably upset, as i saved two years to buy a high end laptop.  It cost me about $2,800 and then the $99 diagnostic fee. They said they'd offer a discount on the repair, when i looked, it was actually $100 higher, from $472 to now $572.  : /

I never spent this amount for a pc before, and can't believe i was outright scammed and ripped off legally.  They are misleading the public with false marketing of the Blade 15 and bribing tech publishers and critics to write positive reviews.  I expected to have a $2,800 pc for more then 1 year 3 months. I no longer trust this laptop and/or any service, plus it's a dangerous fire hazard.

I requested my $2,850 back asap so i can buy a reputable replacement. They refuse to return my money, or do anything unless i pay them another $572, on otp of the $99 diagnostic fee.  After seeing over 2,000 complaints about Razer's horrible unethical business practices and ripping off thousands in a similiar mannter, I don't feel they will ever fix it and it's just another form of generating additional revenue.

Unfortunately i learned a very hard lesson.  Basically the supposed consumer protection rights or laws are easily voided when simple clauses are hidden deep in the fine print.  Even when trying to exercise implied warranty and consumer warranty rights.  If you don't live in a handful of states that protect it's consumers with implied warranty rights, you're out of luck if their warranty has a clause basically stating it is sold "as is" even new and buyer assumes all risks.

Manfacturer has no accountability or liability for knowingly selling bad products year over year.  What's the point of paying taxes for our legislators to write laws that are supposed to protect us when in fact they favor businesses.  So any business can continue to rip off numerous victims with defective items and design flaws for years without fixing, disclosing or recalling them.  It's unbelievable and just another waste of having legislators and government that enables it.

I filed a complaint with the ftc and have not heard back yet.  That was over a month ago. I contacted a law firm who was investigating them but because i live in NJ I can't invoke my implied warranty rights. I will now try to pursue this individually while i work on getting 100 or more customers with the same issue, who are ready to file for class action at the same time.

If anyone else is in the same type of situation with Razer, lets connect and see if we can get at least 100 people, if so i have the firm ready to help.  Seems like quite a challenge and pre-req to pursue but never say never.  This must stop and we are owed our money back before they are out of business.
