Purchased a service (account) from this company. All seemed okay for about 25 days or so and then the PREVIOUS OWNER re-claimed the account! WHY is this company selling illegitemate products?!

I attempted to contact the company directly and received NO response. Registered a complaint with paypal and gamepal accuses ME of fraud! Ha! Not that I expect any help from paypal.

I'll be posting my experience with these THIEVES in every possible location on the Internet.

Interesting Company

Gameplay certainly seems to be an interesting company. Less so for the reports against them (there are many) as for the responses from the company here on RipOffReport.com. I note the tone of the responses invariably starts off boilerplate, with generous offers to the original posters regarding correcting the situation. But in this report's rebuttal, it is fascinating to note that representative attacks his former employee, calling out confidential employment information in a public forum.

In this case, the company's rebuttal more than supports the complaint of the writer.

At least you got a solution to your purchase. I'm still waiting on my premade Account order. It's been 6 days now and they even called to verify me on the first day. They have not sent me anything, no account, no refund, no solutions. All i get from Live chat is email there accounts dept. And from there account dept, all i get is that the account manager will look into the matter and response as soon as they can. I'm guessing 4 days is not long enough for managers to come up with a solution or the account.

Last week I decided to go purchase an account from Gamepal. Immediately after doing so I decided to start checking around the net, and ran across sites like this. Needless to say, I was scared to death. They started off quickly enough, phone call came within minutes, then nothing. They vanished. About 15 hours later I had calmed my nerves and simply accepted, grudgingly, the loss of $200+ as a "stupid move". HOWEVER, 24 hours after I sent payment (9 hours after I gave up on it all) I recieved an email stating that they couldn't find the account and would either A) Give me a full refund or B) give me an account worth up to $275 (which is actually 50+ more than a I paid). I poked around for a bit, but couldn't find anything I really wanted at the time, so I opted for the refund. Sure enough, within 12 hours paypal emails me that I got a refund!

I used to deal with gamepal back in their "Golden days" that some people speak of, so I never dealt with the crappy gamepal so many of you are reporting here, but I can say honestly that right now I am very satisfied with the experience. Even if I didn't get the account I wanted, I did not lose anything in the process, either.

Sorry, but...

While I can understand how frustrating it must be to lose the account and money you paid, you really did just dig your own shallow grave. Blizzard does state quite clearly that the trading, selling, and buying of WoW accounts or items is against their contract, and, in violating of this contract, you really don't have any grounds to complain. What Gamepal is doing is illegal and, in extension, what you did by buying that account was also illegal. Sucks that you lost it, but next time, maybe you'll think twice.

I hope you were able to get your money back from these thieves. Make sure not just you but anybody who files a dispute agaisnt gamepal on paypal that you escalate it to a claim right away so gamepal can not reply to it. If you don't do this, gamepal will try to get you to drop the dispute and they will "help you" in return. As soon as you drop the dispute you can not do another one and they know this. You drop it and they ignore you and keep your money. Buyers beware, I know every trick this company uses!

Gamepal is also stealing from Blizzard

Who am I?
I've played several online games that were ruined, some even shut down, because of third party activity of the sort Gamepal is supposedly offering for sale.

You're mad at Gamepal. Warn everyone away from them wherever you can. I'd do the same. Save someone else from getting scammed.
You might be able to get your $400 back through complaints to your bank, paypal or however you paid, or by filing a lawsuit against Gamepal based on breach of contract.

But if you want them shut down, you need bigger guns.

Blizzard won't give you $400, but they have more lawyers than you do. You can't shut down Gamepal, but Blizzard could, if they wanted to.

Make a case that what Gamepal has stolen from you is more than just $400. It is also the ability to enjoy Blizzard software. Blizzard wants your money (that's why they're in business) and doesn't want to 'lose' that money to scam outfits like Gamepal.

If you help them shut down Gamepal, they might help you out with credits on an account. It's worth asking.

You don't want to call paypal, that does no good. Simply search for the payment you made to sales@gamepal.com and open a dispute and file a claim on it. If it was more than 45 days ago, you can report it to hurt gamepal's feedback, but nothing more. If it is linked to a credit card, call the credit card company and dispute the charge as fradulant. If it was a debit/checking account, contact your bank, tell them it was a fradulant charge by a phillipino company and get your money back. Don't leave any option open without trying. Fight them!

Paypal is just as bad

Hey Bill,

That was one of the first things I did. Contacted paypal to lodge a complaint. They took there time and gamepal accused ME of fraud and in the end paypal just rolled over. They're just as bad as gamepal.

Dave - who are you any way? In one report you rip Bill a new one because he's telling the truth about the PIECE OF S*IT that is gamepal and in this report you tell me to complain to the software publisher???

In this case that would be Blizzard...what exactly will they do to rectify this problem? Give me the 400.00 back that the f**kHEADS at gamepal STOLE from me? Highly unlikely.

Bottom line: Gamepal is a an underhanded company that sell gaming accounts STILL OWNED by other players and then refuse to refund money when they're caught.

GAMEPAL = THIEVES. If my experience prevents even one person from using their service and getting ripped off I'll be happy.

I worked for gamepal. The software companies won't do anything about gamepal. They will only continue to ban accounts or delete characters as they see necessary. They will not shut down gamepal. You just have to fight them yourself, as I said, open a paypal dispute and escalate it to a claim, they will lose and you will get your money back. I could care less how much money they lose, the owners are 2 greedy kids that only care about themselves and not others anyways.

Gamepal is making money selling access to "items" that belong to other companies.

Gamepal has no legal basis for selling anything that doesn't belong to them. They feel there's a work-a-round in that they claim to be selling a service, ie. time. In fact, they are selling access to items that belong to the software publisher, in violation of the terms of use of the software.

If you want them shut down, the software publisher should hear the complaint.

Paypal is correct. Selling an account is against the terms of use. Therefore, to buy an account, you have to get someone to violate their contract.

This is all assuming that Gamepal can actually deliver what they told you. I feel they are simply taking money and then telling people, "oh, sorry, the software company shut you down."

Get the software company to shut THEM down.

Open a dispute on paypal, in the comments put down that the company is fraud and escalate it to a claim right away. Gamepal will be forced to refund you. Remember, you only have 45 days from date of payment to do so. After 45 days you can open a case, but you can not be awarded any money. They are a fraudulant company no doubt and do not care about any of its customers. Good luck fighting them.
