The counterfeit pumps are falsely advertised as 'BRAND NEW CARTER OEM Fuel Pump CHRYSLER PART # 4874172 / 5012961AB / 5012961AC, CARTER / FEDERAL MOGUL PART # P75043M and BOSCH PART # 67649.
CARTER FEDERAL MOGUL 1-877-489-6659 HAS CONFIRMED THAT THESE FUEL PUMPS ARE NOT THEIR MANUFACTURE or OEM.
These counterfeit fuel pumps can be recognized from the actual Carter Federal Mogul OEM product as they have no Manufacturer's name, model or type number on the unit. The counterfeit fuel pumps are made of inferior materials and contain a defective plastic fuel line housing that can separate, allow fuel to leak and result in a fire in the presence of an ignition source caused by the fuel pump's substandard wiring. The counterfeit fuel pumps have been sold on ebay by Global Automotive and several other Miami FL based vendors under several names, despite ebay's efforts to prevent the sale of counterfeit items.
Included in this posting are photos of the counterfeit Jeep fuel pump module sold by Global Automotive, ebay item number 160064372124 'NEW CARTER OEM FUEL PUMP 1997-1998 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE' and states: ' CARTER / FEDERAL MOGUL IS THE OEM MANUFACTURER OF THESE FUEL PUMPS' Although the listing has been removed by ebay, it is available for viewing at the time of this bulletin.
Buyers of these or other type or brand/type fuel pumps from Global Automotive or other ebay vendors are advised to immediately remove any counterfeit fuel pumps from vehicles and to contact Carter Federal Mogul at 1-877-489-665 ( stlouis.orders@federalmogul.com ), The US Dept of Transportation, (DOT), U.S. Customs and ebay.

Caution! Don't purchase or use any electric fuel pump that does not have a Manufacturer's name and type markings imprinted on it. Beware of fuel pumps offered at an unusually low price as many counterfeit automotive items sell for 1/4 to 1/3 the price of the actual unit, are unreliable and often dangerous.
Counterfeit fuel pumps are made of inferior materials, can allow fuel to leak and result in a fire in the presence of an ignition source caused by the fuel pump's substandard wiring.
Do not accept explanations from the seller such as 'This pump is the same as the Carter Federal Mogul pump' or we buy these pumps from the same source that Carter Federal Mogul does'
CARTER FEDERAL MOGUL 1-877-489-6659 has confirmed that the fuel pumps sold by Global Automotive of Miami Florida as 'BRAND NEW CARTER OEM Fuel Pump CHRYSLER PART # 4874172 / 5012961AB / 5012961AC, CARTER / FEDERAL MOGUL PART # P75043M and BOSCH PART # 67649 in ebay item 160064372124, ARE NOT CARTER FEDERAL MOGUL Manufacture or OEM.
The ebay listing mentioned above has been removed by ebay but is still available for viewing at the time of this bulletin.

First of all we need to state the buyers CORRECT identification as the information in this claim is false:

Anothy purchased this OE fuel pump from us on 4/1/07. Once it arrived buyer contacted us stating that the item arrived damaged by the USPS. We advised him to send it back to us along with a print out of this original invoice. Damaged item arrived back at our warehouse and we immediately shipped a second unit. The second unit arrived and once again Anthony contacted us stating that the item arrived damaged. In our 25 years of doing business, something like this has never happened. During this whole ordeal the buyer never once questioned or commented about the authenticity of our products. We have no reason to defraud our valued buyers.
Buyers claim that item is not authentic or OEM is false. If it were true, then why did Anthony wait to receive two of these fuel pumps before stating these lies. He also waited one month to state that the first shipment was damaged, which is extremely suspicious.
We have proof that two seperate shipment were sent and received by Anthony Tsagarakos. Please see tracking info below:

Buyer became very beligerant and started demanding all types of rediculous things. We decided to simply refund this buyer because the aggrivation was not worth the $105 we sold on this sale.
Ever since this false claim has been filed, we have received several emails from other ebay members that have had serious problems with Mr. Anthony Tsagarakos. It looks as though Anthony makes a living by ruining the good reputation of others.
We urge all sellers that have had problems with this buyer to please come forward and post your findings in this report to back up our claim. We are looking for any info to further build our legal claim against this buyer.

Please check Global Automotive's negative ebay feedbacks where many customers were sold misrepresented non OEM parts and then were called Liars.
Below is a defamatory statement written by Kevin Simmons of Global Automotive who has a history of defaming customers:
'Ever since this false claim has been filed, we have received several emails from other ebay members that have had serious problems with Mr. Anthony Tsagarakos. It looks as though Anthony makes a living by ruining the good reputation of others'

Global Automotive will defame and call customers liars but DOES NOT ADDRESS THE ISSUE of the NON OEM fuel pump that Global Automotive FALSELY advertised on ebay as a 'BRAND NEW CARTER OEM FUEL PUMP'
Mr. Tsagarakos is not the author of this rip-off complaint, he is an ebay customer who received two non OEM and defective fuel pumps from Global Automotive. Both pumps were returned because they had broken fuel line retainers and not because they were damaged in transit by USPS as Kevin Simmons of Global Automotive falsely states.
Mr. Tsagarakos contacted the Carter Federal Mogul customer service 1-877-489-6659, provided photographs of the fuel pumps and the link to Global Automotive's ebay ad number 160064372124 where the fuel pumps are misrepresented as 'BRAND NEW CARTER OEM Fuel Pump and 'CARTER / FEDERAL MOGUL IS THE OEM MANUFACTURER OF THESE FUEL PUMPS''
Carter Federal Mogul's customer service department responded with the following statement and ebay removed the listing for the misrepresented, non OEM fuel pump.

It is strongly recommended that buyers of fuel pumps from Global Automotive remove the fuel pumps from your vehicle and inspect for non OEM and misrepresented fuel pumps. Contact Carter Federal Mogul about any fuel pumps misrepresented and sold as an actual Carter Federal Mogul OEM fuel pump. The units can be identified as they have no manufacturer's name or type markings imprinted on the unit as do the original products.

Anthony Nick Tsagakos IS A First Class SCAMMER
NICK Tsagarakos who now uses Anthony as a first name came to our watchdog organization's attention several years ago after ebayers complained about his violent behavior and threatening emails about 3rd parties with whom he had disputes with. Ebay legal was contacted after we investigated and found for ourselves that Mr. Tsagarakos used low life tastics to harass 3rd parties.
We also found out from independent sources that he was investigated for stealing items from the aircraft industry where he had had a job as a mechanic. We have also researched the web and made contact with third parties who too confirm this man's M.O. for falsely slandering and trying to extort people for sums of money. There have also been questions about insurance fraud as well as pornagraphic and drug materials in bogus web sites owned by this person. We have verified our sources and tell the public to beware of Anthony Nick Tsagarakos.
