24 Protect Plus Scam -- Protect What Des Plaines Illinois

I noticed a $14.95 charge on my credit card today and called the 800 number listed on my statement. The company representative VALENCIA asked me for my membership number. I responded . . . I wouldn't know as I have no knowledge of what your company is and no knowledge that I even had a membership with you. She proceeds to tell me that somtime in July when I did a telephone search I JOINED 24Protect Ples. I asked her exactly what 24 Protect Plus member benefits were and she said that they offer "various discount benefits". I then informed VALENCIA that I abosolutely NEVER joined her company and that believed that I was scammed and that I wasnted a full refund. She informs me that she will return one month of membership and cancel my membership effective immediately. I tell her that I was disputing the charges in full and was disputing that I ever requested a membership and that if she did not refund me the entire amount of money that was taken from my credit card that I was contacting the Attorney General's office. she said "that is your right to do . . . I have done my job here today", "Have a Nive Day".

So I guess I will be c ontacting the Attorney General's office and filing a complaint against this SCAM. Thankfully, they only got away with about $30.00 after I receive my refund for November.

Beware of this company. They are scam artists and they employ very smug people who are well trained to respond to consumers who just figured out they have been scamed!!!!!!

I hope the government can do something about these types of predators. I hear they also do business under the name of "Great Escapes".
