A Solid Gold Sound DOES NOT PAY It's DJs/Videogrphers!! They owe me over $600.00 for work I did for them over 7 months ago! Edgewood Kentucky

When I moved to Pittsburgh in July of 2007 I replied to a craigslist ad looking for professional DJs who needed work. Since I just moved to the area and was working to start my own DJ business I decided to respond to the ad.

I called the company and they liked me so they hired me on the spot and started asking me to DJ at events for them. They agreed to pay me $200.00 per event within 7-10 working days after I completed the event.

After I did the first event for them I sent in the required paperwork to get paid, and waited and waited and waited! This should have been my first hint that things weren't going to go so well with them. I needed work so I continued to work for them at events while I was waiting for my first payment.

To make a long story short it took them over 2 months to pay me for the first event I did and after that it took longer and longer for them to pay me.

I decided that I was no longer going to do anymore work for them until they paid me current and pre-paid me for all future events. I wrote them an email explaining this.

About 2 weeks later I got a call from them asking me to perform at an event. I told them I would if they would send me the full amount they owed me PLUS the money for the event that weekend. They said OK.

Friday rolls around and still no check in the mail as promised. I called them and left a message that I was no longer doing the event because they had lied to me and told me that they were sending my payment and I would receive it before the weekend.

They called me on Saturday morning and I still refused to do the event for them.

On Monday I received a call from John, the owner, of Solid Gold Sound. He apologized to me for lying to me and said he was sending me a check for half of what he owed me at that time if I agreed to do an event for him that next weekend.

At this point I thought that anything I could do to get paid from them I would so I reluctantly agreed. By Friday this time a check arrived for half the amount they owed me and I did do that event for them that weekend.

That check I got for half of what they owed me was the last payment I received from them.

They now currently owe me $600.00 and claim to have sold the company and that John owed me the money and not the new company.

I get emails from them weekly asking me to DJ events for them which I never ever accept.

I have confronted them numerous times and given every excuse in the book as to why they won't pay me the over $600.00 they owe me.

THE BOTTOM LINE: DO NOT BELIEVE THEIR LIES ABOUT THEM PAYING YOU. YOU WILL BE LET DOWN IF THEY EVEN PAY YOU AT ALL! DO NOT WORK FOR THEM! THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO WORK FOR THEM ARE THE PEOPLE WITH THE LEAST EXPERIENCE AND WORST EQUIPMENT!
