CONSUMER BEWARE: Aamco Transmission- Brooklyn,NY. Well People it’s time to sound the alarm. It’s time for me to share my thoughts about Aamco Transmission service located at 1266 Ralph Ave in Brooklyn, NY. I tried to be fair, I went all the way to the top by contacting corporate to no avail. My Story: In short. Our vehicle was towed to the location on July 13, 2018. We spoke with the service people there about our options for repair. We decide since we were on vacation to take the quickest option for repair of our vehicle. We were over 800 miles from home, therefore we did not want a lengthy repair. On Monday July 16, 2018, the original scheduled date to leave NYC we were told by AAmco that no transmission was available localy for our vehicle and that it had to be shipped to them and it would take 2-3 days to get it.

POINT #1...They were placing the order Early that morning...2-3 Days should have been Thursday July 19, 2018 and according to them. They could drop the transmission as soon as they received it. POINT#2.. Our vehicle had been prepped and was waiting (radiator flushed and whatever all else they do). This would put us on the road no later than Friday July 20th. Welp people.....IT DID NOT ARRIVE UNTIL WEDNESDAY JULY 26th. This family was HOMELESS...STRANDED from That Friday 7-20 - Wednesday 7-26 because it was PEAK SEASON. The hotel that we had been staying in no longer had availability. We shuffled around New York City with 26 bags trying to find something affordable all the while Aamco had no answers as to why it was taking so long to get our transmission. We depleted our savings at $500 per day to survive in the city. We finally got our vehicle on Thursday July 27...how is it that we paid AAmco $3900 up front for this service and they can treat people like this?? I feel taken advantage of and totally shafted. I feel that Aamco did not handle our delicate situation properly. As a consumer, I expected to have received exactly what I agreed to. They breached our agreement when they did not deliver our vehicle by the agreed date costing our family almost $3000 in additional expenses. BEWARE!! BEWARE!!
