I am also a Contractor in the Dallas Fort Worth area. This is a warning to all contractors and potential victims (customers) of AHPS.  Bruce Craig is the owner of this company. It is very difficult to call it a company at all.  His Authorizer was a man named Jeremy.  Jeremy emailed us many heating and Air Conditioning calls over a 4 month period. Most the repairs we made were due to a very bad AC contractor he had working for him.  It seemed that most systems were wired wrong and we cleaned up a ton of messes. These repairs were for the oct part taken care of with simple labor. The problem occurred when we were asked to install a condenser for this company in November.  The customer is still a loyal customer of mine.  I guess they will have to pay for the unit themselves.

We installed the unit and billed Bruce.  We have the authorization numbers on every invoice we ever sent to him.  Now he claims that he doesn't use authorizations numbers.  Strange thing is we don't do work without an authorization number.  Every invoice we billed him had one. Period. If you are thinking of doing business with this company please re consider. A warranty company that doesn't give author number? Really? He wants you to do work without proof of any authorization. WOW.

I digress. We have the authorization numbers and billed him.  He now states that the condenser was installed by another warranty company by the name of Everything residential. I have no knowledge of this company and have never spoken to a rep from them.  Bruce's authorizer Jeremy gave us the authorization.  He claims to be involved in negotiations to get us paid.  Right.  7 months have passed.

One other customer actually paid Bruce for the labor owed to us in April.  Bruce told him AHPS would pay us. Guess what? Yep No check.

We now have the Texas Real Estate Commission investigating his company and have been told to expect a check from them to clear up yet another small invoice.  We are contacting the remaining 2 victims top allow them the chance to file complaints with the TREC in an effort to get paid.

Customers, save your self some serious grief and cancel your contracts immediately and if your looking for a good warranty company, Look the other way. This is not the guy you wan to deal with. Contractors run from this guy.  Do Not Run Calls.  You will get screwed I guarantee it.  We provided the best in residential work and customer services for him.  In fact most of the customers he sent us too have remained with us as Maintenance customers due to our exceptional service. They will be getting letter from us with recommendations to change companies and a discount coupon provided by one of our other warranty companies that actually take care of business.

Bruce Craig, Affordable home protection service, everything residential and Jen his wife and billing manager are in the business of stealing equipment and money from customers and contractors.  We are a growing company and some would say this is a waste of time. Not to me.  If you do business in Texas you should be prideful and do the right thing.  They haven't and I WILL stay at this until we are paid.  We are filling papers in travis county to see this man before a judge.  He has emailed me many times saying he will take care of these invoices but simply has no intention of following through.

The Texas Real Estate Commission has provided us with the process to begin holding him to the fire. If you are a customer or contractor that has been taken by these people please contact the TREC asap.  They are building many cases against this company in an effort to protect consumers.
