All United Van Lines What they didn't LOSE or fail to deliver they DAMAGED Chatsworth, California

We contracted to have household goods delivered from Tennessee to Idaho.  They were picked up at our storage unit in Crossville Tennessee.  The original price quoted was $2640.46.  then befire they would deliver we were told it would be another $2142.83.  After many phone calls, missed delivery dates and finally threatening the company with a lawyer we recived our shipment. It arrived in a truck we could not believe was even allowed on the road, mirrors were taped on, the side units had to be propped up so they would stay open and the ramp had holes in it.  That is when we knew we were in trouble.  the 2 drivers immediately demanded the balnce in cash before they would unload and then they tried to deliver the wrong shipment to us.  We did finally get some of our items but 20 boxes and several tool items were missing.  We reported this and the driver said we could file a claim.  We also made note of the damage done to our furniture and other household items.  The driver took pictures with his cell phone.  We had to ask them several times to slow down and be a little more respectful of our things because they were just slamming and ramming things around.  The inventory did not match and again we were told we could file a claim.
 They delivered on a weekend so we were unable to get anyone at the home office to answer the phone and we have been unable to get an answer since.  We have tried several different phones thinking that perhaps they had caller ID and simply would not take our call.  We discoverd 3 boxes that were not ours a few hours after the delivery and called the driver to report this.  He told us that another truck would pick these items up and would be calling.  That was in September and we still have the items.  We have filed a claim but have heard nothing, we have left messages just hoping that we would be able to at least find our personal items that cannot be replaced such as trophies and pictures but to no avail.  Jem is terminal and very much wanted his things around him, I made this clear to the moving company and to Kevin the supposed manager and was assured they would take care of our items.  They have taken advantage of a man who is very ill, they are not only rip-off artists with no intentuion of doing the right thing but they are immoral.  We would like to have our things and we would like to see that whomever's things we have gets them but can get no response.  We have consulted an attorney and will proceed with legal action.  Anyone out there want to join in.  If this company has a business license they shouldn't.
