Allied Collection use to have this debt from an apartment I had. The Villas of El Dorado (the apartments) told me that Allied went bankrupt so they transferred their files to National Credit. So I am currently paying National Credit.

In the mean time, Im trying to get Allied off my credit report. Everytime I call I talk to a MR JONES. He laughs at me for paying National and tells me I'm paying the wrong people. (which i have verified Im not) He wont tell me his first name. He refuses to send me a bill. I went to an attorney and he hung up on him.

I have reported it through the Texas Attorney General and FTC. Nothing will happen through them unless others complain! I know others are going through this with Allied so if you are one, REPORT IT!! The apartments have called them several times and Allied has not taken this off and will not stop trying to collect.

Dispute this debt with all 3 credit bureaus, in your letter enclose that your paying National credit, and allied has nothing to do with this debt. also place any information, on who the original party this debt is for this debt so the credit bureau can obtain information from them.

Next send a letter (RRR) to allied collection disput this debt and also informed them that National credit is collection this debt and they must remove there entry, if they don't sue them for damage to your credit and whatever else you can.

This attorney that hung up on you, isn't worth your time or trouble. go to bud hibbs site that should help you fine a real attorney. another good site is credit infocenter.

As Steve and P has stated never talk to a collection agency on the phone most of the time nothing good will come of it.

good luck
