America Online ripoff on billing Internet

They ripped us off by first not having an access number in our area and it connected us to our extended local calling plan through our phone company.Our phone bill was over $500.00 before we realized what had happened,we had to have our phone shut off for 4 months until we paid that bill.For some reason we gave aol the benefit of the doubt and thought well maybe it was our mistake. We then cotacted aol over this matter and they gave us 3 months free so we thought ok. We have contacted them over the next year on minor problems and every time we went to cancel they would give us 3 more months free,well they said it was free but we were still charged $5.00 a month out of my checking each month. Now they tried to charge us $82.00 out of our account when we were to have it free,we have been on the phone with them a few times over this matter and haven't got it resolved and in the meantime they keep trying to charge it to our checking and each time our bank charges us a $28.00 non-sufficeint fund fee. I think we are going to have to go to our bank monday and close our checking account and have to reopen a new one for this to stop. We aren't getting anywhere with aol and they keep hanging up on us so i don't think we have any other choice and once again get charged the nsf fee.
