I just saw two complaints against American Services, Inc. dated 2/21/08 from Howard of Santa Clara, California and another dated 9/7/08 from Southern Climate Control in Greenville, SC. As I read the first complaint from Howard, it was like the words were coming from us here in Baltimore, MD. Every word was exact as to what happen to us and very true. I'm sorry to hear about the amount owed to SCC in Greenville but I guess they got off a little easier than we did. They owe us over $12000. After several times of faxing the bills and calling about the payments, the response was always the same, they don't have all the bills. We would refax the bills again. After a few times, we stopped refaxing all the bills and just sent a main billing sheet. Today we received a response that they didn't have the store stamps on the work orders (which were on all the work orders) and they not able to pay the bills.

They called us a month ago for an emergency response to DC (which is 40 miles one way for us). I replied to them that they owed us a lot of money that was over 60 days old and we would not respond for their call unless we received some money towards their bill. At that time the bill was around $5000. Someone in accounting was quick to get on the phone wth me and I was told that a check would be sent out that day. I received that check but it was only for $1400, after being told that we would be paid in full. We are not a large company so in turn this put a financial burden on our company. We paid for all the labor, even after work hours, and materials. We also had prior approvals for work that needed to be done. We personally spoke to the the head man/owner at American Services and he stated that we would be paid but that has not happened yet.

This company sent us all kinds of work that we performed immediately for them but now doesn't want to pay for the services rendered. I have written to the Better Business Bureau to complain. There was nothing on file, business info or complaints, but I suggest you do the same. Maybe the BBB will do something about this. Next I will be calling the Attorney General in California.

Here some advise to any HVAC company that has been contacted by American Services, Inc... RUN RUN RUN RUN and don't look back! Just say NO!

We do not know who this vendor is, however, this report is over 4 years old.

We have no claims against us, nor do we know of any claim ever filed by these entities reported.

We can only presume their requests were resolved.

At times, a new vendor will not comply with the written requests of the Purchase Order.

We require a store signature, and itemization within their inovice, etc.  We regret that the proper completion of these items may not have been met, but they are written well within the Terms in each Purchase Order.

Should they read this and wish to contact us, please ask for Vendor Management.

We will provide any resolution needed.

The company is owned by DENNIS GRAHAM he claims to have a contractors lic. he changes business names when one goes under he opens another American Services, Inc. went under/ he is now DBA: Essential Retail Services, Inc. and Pacific Air Conditioning and Heating, Inc. they blame their empoyees for everything he treats the woman in his office like trash and also allows his manager Ron to yell at the dispatchers DAILY. The employees all are constantly being threatened of losing their jobs DAILY, and he walks around like LITTLE NEPOLIAN. He is an a*s who doesnot care who he walks on to make a buck! He gloats he has limos, money, a country club, and he will sue or stomp on anyone he has to to make money. He says if the clients backout, he will just sue them, HE IS SUE HAPPY!

HE IS A SCAM ARTIST AND IF YOU NEED TO REPORT HIM I SUGGEST YOU CONTACT THE CALIFORNIA CONTRACTORS LIC BOARD. BOTTOM LINE: RETAILERS AND SUB CONTRACTORS SHOULD STAY CLEAR FROM:
ESSENTIAL RETAIL SERVICES, INC.  & PACIFIC AIR CONDITIONING, INC. / When clients ask if they are affiliated with American Services, Inc. they say they are not but truth is they are and are all owned by DENNIS GRAHAM who prays on anyone for a fast buck!!!! If you have had problems with American Services, Inc. then I suggest you STAY CLEAR FROM: Essential Retail Services, Inc. and Pacific Air Conditioning, Inc.  970 Reserve Dr. Suite 180 Roseville, CA. as well, they are the same company owned by the same guy. DENNIS GRAHAM.
