American Standard is running an ad in the penny saver regarding take over payments and rent to own.  When speakiing with their representatives  you are told that it will cost you 199.00 to have access to their webside of foreclosure homes all over the united states.  The 199.00 is used to do a title search when you find the home that you want to make sure you are gettiing clear title.
You are told that the bank has sent these addresses of homes to them and the bank and homeowner has agreed to work with them in getting people to rent the homes.

Once you have written a lease of at least 6 months to 1 yr and have kept up your payment in a timely manner always on tiime, the bank will then give you a deed to the property without any pre qualifying, just turn it over to you as a sale with the deed to the property.

You are told that the rent you pay is 500,00 per thousand dollars therefore if you wish to pay no more than 900.00 per month rent you would look for a home having a transfer value of  no more than $150,000. When you find this home you are to call the office with the address  and the representative will set up the appointment with the homeowner so that you may view the property in person to see if it is to your liking.

None of the above is true, once you have paid the $199.00, then you are able to see that you have to send out contact letters to the seller that has been written by American Standard . When you call the support line they want to know how many letters have been sent and have no idea about your being told that they are to make the contact for you when you find the properties of interest to you. I have sent out over 50 letters to no avail. Their return address is on the outside envelope even though I sign the letter .  I am told too that if they haven't heard from you in 30 days they will call you to find out why you haven't called them with properties that you have found.  My fear is how will I get my money back and why are these people telling lies to the consumer to get that $199.00?  The support person has no idea that this is being told to the consumer and claim that all the conversations are recorded. The whole speech that the representative give is untrue.

Consumers should be made aware of this ad so as to steer clear.  Thank you for listening.
