Americredit won't send car title even though they have my payoff amount! 20 days wait! Ripoff! Phoenix, Arizona

We sent Americredit over $14,00.00 to pay off my car.We only owed them $247.42 left on the balance.This was all done May 2006.

Every few months they would call us at least 6 times a day and leave a message to call Americredit.When I called they would say that we are past due on our payment!Then I would have to go around with people who can't speak english about check your records and see that we pay you ahead of time!I was told that every 3 months the computer spits the account out and it would have to be reapplied.So every time I got a phone call I would have to call them because they just can't do it themselves.

On Feb.5 2007 I sent them $100.00 on line for my account,then when I called and talked to a service rep.she told me that I could pay on line which I did with her on the phone and I would get my title in 3 to 10 business days.They took the remaining balance of $187.42 out of my account on the 24th of Feb.2007.On the 27th of Feb.I went on their website to check on my account and I could not get on.

I then called and the rep.told me it was paid in full.I asked how many days till I get my title,he said about 20 days!I told him I wanted to speak to a manger.Andrew the manager got on the phone,I told him the hole story and he said no I was wrong!When I told him the names of the person who told me this then he looked it up.He started to say he was sorry and that in order to get the title sooner I would have to Fax proof of the deposit into their account to them,even after I was told my account was paid in full!

If they didnt receive my money why would they have my account down as paid in full?My bank even has that Americredit was paid out of my account the next day.So I went to the bank and got a copy of the deposit into their account and faxed it to them at 2:47 today,at 10:00pm I got a call from Americredit saying that they recieved the proof of the $187.42 put they need proof of the Feb.5 2007 deposit also.That was almost a month ago!They got my money weeks ago.

I called Andrew and now he tells me he told me the day before that he needed both deposit statements.Thats false, because why would I forget something like that,and I would have questioned him about the Feb.5th payment proof since it was weeks ago, if it was mentioned to me by him.

I love how when you are 1 day late they call you every hour to b***h about their money that gets applied in 2 days to your account,but when it comes to them giving you your title because you pay off a loan years ahead of time it takes THEM 20 days to hand it over!because it now take that long for them to apply your payoff money to their account even thought it was taken out of your account weeks ago,then you have to send them proof that it went into their account,whats wrong with this picture?
