Anthony Sylvan Pools, buyer beware.

We had a very personable sales representative, however, this is where everything ended with this company.
Absolutely no follow through with their promises and even speaking with their general manager for this area did little to nothing to resolve our problems and complaints.

There were not timely, we were promised they only contracted out the plumbing and electrical, however, they contracted out just about everything and we had people coming and going onto our property without any knowledge of who they were, when they were coming, or what they were doing. I would assume if your coming onto someone's property they would at the very least announce themselves, but they would help themselves to the back yard even after it had been fenced in and no open access. This annoyed us to no end as we have children and pets. Nothing like seeing a complete stranger in your yard when your children are out there! Or what if we had left our dog in the yard and they came on to our property and were bitten?

Employees of Anthony Sylvan used our tools, left their trash in our yard and then denied they did so. Their construction manager actually had the audacity to say it must have been us they left all the trash in the yard. One would expect when you hire a company they come prepared with their own tools, no? We would find our tools in the yard, items moved around in our garage and then when confronted they still denied everything.
They left our pool an absolute mess after pouring the concrete and when asked about when it would be cleaned up (all the adhesive was left on the rim of our pool making it tacky and sticky as well as concrete "drips" left) they said they did not think they left it in such a condition. We had to call the contractor to come out to clean up after himself instead of Anthony Sylvan calling to take care of this. The cleaning guy for the pool, also contracted out, scratched our pool when vaccuming it out. We have been left with deep scratches all over the bottom of the pool. It has been over a month and we are still waiting for them to take care of the scratches, always some excuse and us contacting them about when are they going to take care of it. The cleaning guy came at the end of June, it is now the end of July and we were promised right after it happened that they would come take care of it all, still waiting.
The electrical contractor has been called back at least 4 times to fix the outlet, at first they did not set it up correctly, then the lights did not work, then the outlet itself did not work.

When all the contruction first began, we opened up the back fence for them to get their equipment through so they had complete access during the process, yet they drove through our front yard and down our side yard making a complete mess. It was us taking care of that mess instead of them as when asked when they would be out to take care of it, we again got excuses or promises that they would be out but then they would not show up at all. They finally showed, only a month or so later to pick up any remaining gravel and to spread some grass seed. Perhaps they think nothing of leaving your front and side yard a needless eyesore when it was completely uncalled for in the first place.

We realize things do not always go as smoothly when completing a big project, but a little customer service would have gone a long way to sort things out and make us feel like we had not been taken advantage of. Now we are asking for a portion of our money back, and we believe we are being more than fair at this point. We have been met with silence, you would think after all the snafu's they would have been trying to compensate us in some way for all the hassle.

If considering putting in a pool, seriously consider using another company other than Anthony Sylvan. Smooth talk got them in our door, but we sure are paying the price now and left with buyers remorse.
