Appera has a two-week trial offer which I ordered, which then turns into a tri-monthly autoship program for $89.97.

Unfortunately, they don't send any form of email confirmation, and to cancel, you have to have an "approval code" - sent with your sample. If you don't get your sample or it arrives after two weeks, you might be SOL! Appera won't care!

However, that didn't happen to me: they charged me, I cancelled the day after the 2-week trial, and hey, if I were EVER sent the product, I'd understand. But I wasn't!

After constant emails, the "support" stopped answering my questions and complaints; I filed a complaint with the BBB (which is still open and unanswered) as well as tried "live support" through their website (which I don't believe exists, because every time I've tried to access it it's come up as "Our representatives are busy" - every. single. time!).

Finally, I called their 800-number, asked to speak with the manager, and was told I WAS speaking to the manager. After I explained my situation, he checked the system, told me that indeed, my product had never been shipped, and issued a refund.

Great. Now, four days later, I have yet to see a credit issued to my bank account. I emailed them AGAIN and was responded to after business hours (approximately 6:30 PM, and when replies were made, they were made almost as soon as I had sent them - interesting that someone would be working after business hours and be able to reply so fast!). I eventually was told that I "should be grateful you even get a refund" and to "relax - you'll get it."


So, as of today, March 10th, 2005, I have still not received a refund, and will take legal action after going to my bank tomorrow if it still has not shown.
