Appliance Smart Astronomical Delivery Charge for TERRIBLE SERVICE St Louis Park Minnesota

My husband and I purchased a new washer at Appliance Smart in St Louis Park Minnesota on Tuesday May 20th 2008. We thought we were getting a good deal because the price was so low. Even though the delivery charge was very very high ($70 which is at least twice as much as anywhere else), we thought it was the way to go since it seemed like the low price on the washer made up for it. We were told that this price included delivery, installation, and disposal of our old machine and was told nothing about the fact that we would have to purchase our own hoses for any reason at all.

First of all, they couldn't deliver the machine until May 28th, over a week later. When they did deliver the machine, the delivery driver said that the hoses that come standard with the machine were not long enough and that they were the only ones they had and that we would have to go buy our own hoses and hook it up ourselves. He said that they would only cost "a couple of bucks" at the hardware store. When I went to get the hoses they cost me $8 each which means for both the cold and hot water hook ups I paid $16, which, to me at least, is more than a "couple of bucks".

I was very unhappy with the level of service I received considering how much I paid for it so I emailed the company and let them know my dissatisfaction. The next day I got a call from "Randy" at the delivery office and he basically told me, sorry but that's how it is and there is nothing we can do about it and "I understand if you talk bad about us to others" He offered me no explanation and no resolution.
