I just got a letter from Asset Acceptance regarding an old debt (2001). I have not paid anything on this debt since 2001 so i'm sure the SoL has expired (I live in Florida). So I decided to pull the trigger and send them a SoL expiration letter. It's one of the standard letters off this site. I didn't admit that the debt is mine.

After thinking about it, I realized that i should have sent a debt verification letter first and put the burden on them for proof. Since it's already on it's way, do you all see any problem with sending the SoL without the verification letter?
