ASURION Verizon phone insurance Total Scam Nashville Tennessee

 Its not unusual for the major carriers to replace your phone with a REFURBISHED model. And thats what they did to you. Its unfortunate but if you could have afforded the FULL price of the phone Im sure you would rather pay the 6-700$ it would cost you to replace your phone. But since you went with THEIR warrenty, you get what THEY give you.

When I picked up my womans new GS3 I got it at Radioshack. I had a few incidents similar to yours in the fact that my carrier at that time would ONLY replace my phone with a refurb. Her phone broke right after mine. Thankfully SHE got the radioshack insurance and they replaced her phone with a BRAND NEW PHONE!!! She went with the white one as she broke her black one because she couldnt see it. I was almost FLOORED when I heard that they gave her a new phone. I thought she was lying to me, so I called the store and the store confirmed the info.

So I guess the lesson is dont count out phone insurance just dont fall for the carrier insurance. Yea its nice that you just pay it with your bill. But the accumulated costs of that insurance vs. what you get when you redeem it makes it very unsavory. When I switched carriers I went and picked up my phone at radioshack and paid the SINGLE time payment for the insurance. Yes there is a deductable but hey, thats life. If I break THIS phone then I know I will get a BRAND NEW ONE!!! OH!!! One last thing that made me laugh so hard.....if I break this phone, its not that they will replace it with an exact model. No this is even better. If I break my phone they will give me a gift card for the FULL RETAIL AMOUNT!!!! Not what it would be currently, but how much the phone was worth WHEN I bought it. SO if I want a DIFFERENT style or brand all I have to do is pay the difference and BAM!! All mine.

Sorry didnt mean to sound like a fanboy there but whenever I can get a great deal like that people should KNOW!! Maybe its time we told the carriers that places like Radioshack are showing them up and we dont NEED THEIR crappy insurance when these other businesses are offering a much better protection without all the BS!!
