AT&T DIRECTV AT&T At present they are attempting to make me pay $96.09 for five days of service. They say they have a new policy that went into effect on January 14th which states if you cancel your account within your billing cycle you pay for the whole month. However none of their customers know about this because it is not reported to them.

I have personal issues that I'm dealing with right now with my mother passing away on January 6th. So the timing of canceling the DirecTV AT&T account was not planned out. The customer service representative never said anything about AT&T new policy which is nothing but downright stealing. Otherwise I would have waited to cancel the service until the following month.

I have gotten multiple stories from multiple people telling me a new bill will generate with the amount I owe for the 5 days. Other Representatives telling me I will have to pay the $96.09. I told them when hell freezes over. If they have this policy set up like this then someone should be able to add multiple boxes multiple premium channels to their service right after the beginning of the billing date and not be charged for it. But I'm sure they wouldn't see it that way. Because only AT&T is allowed to be the thieves.

I have been with DirecTV since 2010 and when AT&T merged with DirecTV going back to Comcast was not an option because they were too high. Dish Network because of trees and power lines around my house could not get a clear shot with their equipment. I had a bad feeling though when I finally cancelled AT&T was going to pull some crap, and they have.

I hope they don't try the damage my almost excellent credit rating. I really don't know what else to say. But it really takes a low-down person to try to take advantage of somebody who has lost the most important person in their life. I was even told by one of them they had it documented but I was told by a representative about their new policy.

That was after the fact. However they did tell me in the beginning if I would pay the $96.09 that they would pay me back what they owed me. When I had a receiver replaced which they charge me $19.99 shipping for I made sure to return the malfunctioning one the very next day by FedEx. The day after even though they had confirmation of shipment they charged my method of payment on file $145 for that HD receiver even though I'm sure they were tracking it.

And I think I'm going to trust them. I could go on and on but a crook is a crook. If they turn out to be the only technology available on the Earth I'll Resort back to my childhood and play in the woods.
