American Automotive Equipment are crooks ripping people off. 2 Auto lifts ordered only 1 delivered. No refund , no calls ,The owner should be in prison Grand Theft! Port Chester New York

Ordered 2 Automotive storage lifts from the (President) American Automotive Equipment in Oct 2008. Finally about 4 weeks after ordering them I recieve 1 lift with no invoice or any paperwork. I call the owner and supposedly the other is on back order along with the flat top for it. I wait 2 weeks and call again with the same response.

After another 2 weeks I call and say I want a refund on the lift and flat top I did not recieve and the shipping for it. Charles said checks in the mail. Since it is now late November and mail maybe slow I wait 2 weeks and of course no check. I call and now Charles won't respond. So my wife calls and discusses the issue with some one in Texas where they are shipped from, and they supposedly talk to Charles and he reassures them he'll send the check right out.

Now I know I'm in trouble because Charles was already supposedly mailed the check out. We wait another 2 weeks and of course no response , so my wife again speaks to the person in Texas and now we are told they don't know what say to us since he is the boss they can't do anything more.

We contact our attorney and send a letter demanding repayment and of course no response. We are cosidering all our options as well as legislative assistance for fraud.

Automotive Scam

     Well after reading this I am pretty scared. I ordered a Tire Changer and a Balancer from this Company.  Charles took the order and seemed friendly and polite. After he took the order he guarenteed our shipment would be here in 2 weeks. He told us he would email us a reciept of payment. He did email this receipt after 3 days of calling of which most of the calls went unanwsered. Our 2 weeks is tomorrow and when we called the shiping department to find out why we have not heard from the trucking company, they tell us that they cannot find our order and say they will call us back.

     Of course nobody calls us back.  We are getting worried that we got ripped off and we will not be getting any equipment. Our business relies on this equipment for business and if we do not get the shipment as promised we will be out of business. As it stands we are still trying to contact Charles for information with success.

American Automotive Equipment CEO makes things right with our refund

Shortly after posting a rip off report, American Automotive Equipment CEO contacted us and investigated our complaint. After finding our claim was completely valid he arranged to wire transfer our refund to us. We are greatful to this site as it helped us resolve our issue when all others had failed.
