Budget Rental Car Avis Overbilling - Overcharging - Does not Honor Contracts - Failure to refund overcharges, Nightmare - AVOID THIS CAR RENTAL COMPANY Atlanta Georgia

An online car rental reservation was mad 1 week in advance to have a car picked up from Budget Rental Car at the Atlanta, GA - Atlanta-Hartsfield Airport.

We arrived at the car rental desk at 11PM CST. The car we reserved was not available. An upgrade was offered for $30.00. We accepted the upgrade and was given a receipt. The car we received was larger and drank fuel. This was no upgrade for us. We dealt with it.

A month later we receive credit card bill for all kinds of additional charges that we never authorized and Budget cannot supply documentation for. Optional insurance coverages which were declined, had been added to the contract, along with a $54.00/day surcharge for the larger vehicle.

We contacted Budget Rental Car and they could not provide a signed contract where we ever authorized these charges (it does not exist). They agreed to refund $140.00 of the nearly $500.00 OVERCHARGE. Dispute continues with credit card company.

DO NOT RENT FROM BUDGET RENTAL CAR - DON'T SAY YOU WERE NOT WARNED. THE HASSLE AND TIME SPENT FIGHTING THIS IS NOT WORTH IT. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
