I called Bank Of America spoke to make a pamt told bank I was going away on vacation next week. I wanted to make a payment to post the same day. I paid on that credit card for 7 years never late!!!

I spoke to a very rude and evil person there her name is Keri Magnussen she told me she was a credit analyst. She pulled up my credit reports for no reason she said review, then this beast of a women told me she was closing my account and hung me up. I called back and my account was closed. I had some credit issues mostly errors. If anyone thinks there getting ahead by paying on the credit card perfectly with them and having some bad credit with others think again!!! NEVER trust this bank for Loans or creditcards...I never spoke to a person so EVIL in my life....HORRIABLE experience. Im supposed to leave for vacation next week.. Ill update this report if the bank makes good.

If the bank makes good?

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

What is the bank going to make good on?

They are under no requirement to keep your account open.  In reality they don't even need to "review" your credit or have a reason to close your account.  They also don't need a reason or even ask you again if they can review your credit, they can do it at any time.  Yes..that is in the terms YOU agreed to when you got the card.

It's funny how you say that your report was "mostly" errors.  So there were some valid issues.  You unfortunately have now found out that you can't pick and choose what creditors you want to be "good" with.  All they have is your history, and what guarantee do they have that you won't decide to be "good" with other creditors leaving them out?  Of course if you have errors on your report you are allowed by law to dispute and have them corrected.  Then by law you can have a new report sent to B of A to see if they will re-evaluate their decision.  Of course they are under no obligation to reverse their decision, and with even a few valid errors they probably won't anyways.

Credit Card companies do periodic reviews and if you no longer meet their requirements for credit they may close your account, or do other things such as lower your credit limit.  It is not your money..it is their money.

Does the timing suck..yep.  But why did you need it to post "that day"?  Is it because you needed that money to charge up things for your vacation?  So were you going to "max" out(using all of your available credit) your card.  That is a big negative and probably caused a bit of a "red flag" to them.    Had you made your payment even a couple days earlier on-line it would have posted by the date you called, and they may not have even noticed.  Had you not had as high of a balance you may have had enough on the card to use it for what you needed.  Yes..little things like that add up.
