The actual rates are not listed on the instructions, and when questioning the company's customer support call center, they advise that I should have "asked an operator for the actual rates". Not surprisingly, the dialing instructions did not advise that I speak to an operator or that the rates listed might change. When going through the calling process, I was never prompted to speak to an operator.

I was lucky in having only made two calls, at a few minutes each, and was only charged $69.00USD. Nobody I called was actually home to my benefit. I have seen several complaints for charges running over $500 for an hour telephone call, where the clearly advertised rate is $0.22/min. to the US.

Furthermore, in an effort to ward off credit card complaints and possibly law suits, the company offers angry customers "a one time partial rebate to new customers". I believe the offer in my case was $32.00. I think the goal of this aspect of the scam is to claim that the customer has already accepted an offer by the scamming company and that the credit card company should ignore a fraudulent charge complaint and pay the difference.

I have contacted a class action law firm in California that has experience with this sort of scam and am awaiting review for a potential case. If you have been scammed by this company, please join me in shutting them down for the good of capitalism and the American way of life.
