Beware 1st time home buyers.. Beazer Homes will leave you feeling like a fooled child.

While looking for a 1st home my wife and I came across a Beazer community that seemed to be exactly what we were looking for.. Affordable price, good sq footage, and perfect location.

However, the benefits that Beazer kept wispering in our ears soon began to reveal themselves as lies.

We purchased a 3 month old inventory home and everything looked pretty good. After 3 months things started to fall apart. The phone outlets (that can't be checked until service is set up) didnt work-3/4 of all the electrical outlets did not work- The ceramic tile covering the interior of the entry way began to crack(not from homeowner damage) The glass covering the fireplace was found to be warped and became more so after the first use-The trim on the upgraded kitchen island has falled off several times-the backsplash trim on the counter top has pulled away from the wall-The foundation and front porch has a crack growing by day in it-The house has an electrical surge that occures randomly and sometimes for a significant period of time-the overhead kitchen light has fallen off of the ceiling several times--Etc..

every day seems like a game to figure out what will fall apart next..

And what has Beazer done to fix the problems that we're having??

Nothing..

Even with our warrenty in hand they have done nothing but blame subcontractors and wiggle around the issue with what seems like an intent to wear us into submission.

2 months ago we found out that Beazer had sold its rights to the rest of the subdivision.. Due to lack of buyer interest..

We were the last house to sell for a period of 5 months..

Beware buyers
Beazer may promise complete satisfaction, however the satisfation that they are promising is theirs.

Do not buy a house from Beazer unless you want to join the growing line of outraged customers that they have all ready deceived~

100% sure?

Really? After doing a simple internet search, I am 100% sure clear as day that I would never buy a home from this company. I find it interesting how you found all those customer complaints okay at the time, yet are now "surprised" that you are having problems, too. Methinks that you liked this house soooo much that you were willing to pull the wool over your own eyes and go ahead and buy it. This is quite evident seeing as how your consumer research included "profiles of key players" and "stock" -- what good is that going to do you (unless you work for the company).

Pony..

We did check as much as we could via people, internet and other ways such as the stock and company information/news along with profiles of key players. You never can be 100 percent sure...if everything checks out good then you are in the hands of the LOCAL personnel and this is where most faultered but should have been stopped. It's about living and learning but if you aren't will to try then you may as well lock yourself in a closet and say "goodbye". As always education is part of success but here we go again even being educated that does not prevent problems......there is one major key which I learned and next time it will be activate, however, it has nothing to do with checking anyone or anything out but it will ensure everyone is held accountable and responsible until the end.....and even after the completion.

Ciao

Response to George

AUTHOR: Peter - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, July 24, 2006

George, in a perfect world, what you are saying holds all the merit. However, as everyone knows, this world is far from perfect. Therefore, before making any kind of investment, especially a large one such as a house, one should carefully research all aspects of the purchase BEFORE completing the transaction. In this day and are we need to protect ourselves and practice good consumerism!

Without a doubt, if people found out bad prior they wouldn't buy...that is why we have sites like this, huh

Don't ya think? Their stock back then looked good, they promissed and promissed.....houses looked good. Not to this extreme but kind of like buying a BMW then you find out it's a YUGO sold basically "as is" because they will not honor the 72 hour back out perior or in our situation just to honor their warentees. Nobody asked for too much, rather be a person and honor what you say you do.

Considering that Peter from Pony (a place that doesn't exist) - don't even reply to the idiot. He's got posts from all over the place - complaining about not getting his disabilty and then he tried to buy wine with food stamps and then he was working - oh, but he can't he's disabled.

Anyway, don't pay no nevermind to his baffling rambling bable.

Why did you choose Beazer

AUTHOR: Peter - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, July 17, 2006

Beazer has a well-known and highly documented reputation for being among the most horrible builders in the industry. Assuming that you did at least 5 minutes of research on this builder before purchasing your home, may I ask WHY did you choose Beazer in the first place?
