Birch Communications Birch sent me a letter to ask me to send payments to a new location in Baltimore MD. I sent check and it was cashed and they now say I didnt pay my bill and I ;have the cashed check endorsed on back by deposit into their bank. Atlanta Georgia

I have had Birch comunications since 2015 so for 4 years with no problems. I have always paid my bill two weeks in advance each month and have a list of payment history from Birch.Last Month August 23 I sent Septembers payment of 53.19 and when I checked my account online to see when they received it it showed they did not apply it to my account. I checked with my Bank and it was deposited on August 28 by their bank.So I obtained a copy front and back of the check for future reference. I then started calling the customer service number only to be on hold for an hour at a time and noone answered. Finally after the 9th time in same number of days someone came on after 47 minutes. I tried to explain to him what was going on and he insisted I had not paid Septembers bill. This was on september 3,2018. He said he would look into it and fix the issue at hand. I waited for 4 days and the bill was not fixed. I started calling every day again and being put on call waiting again for an hour at a time with noone answering the calls. Again I tried every day with no results of someone answering the call. So I next prepared a lengthy letter explaining the situation and sent it with a copy of the front and back of the check showing it was deposited into their bank on August 28.

I had received a letter supposidly from Birch but not letterhead and it said I was to send payments to this other address in Baltimore Maryland which is where the payment was mailed and the check cashed and Birch does not acknowledge the payment. I wonder what tactic this is and if it is fraud to get money as i said  the Yvette girl when she called is that letter fake or what and she said it was a real letter and to send all payments to that address. well I will send the next payment to the old address and if it gets cashed and not applied to my bill then I will have to have BBB handle the situation.

I received a call from someone named Yvette from Birch as she stated and she received my letter and wanted me to know they would look into the situation and I asked how long it would take to credit my account and she stated well you last paid your bill in July for August and it already shows that, I said you should have the cancelled check copy in front of you with the letter and she stated well as I said you only paid through July 2018. I told her to look at the date on the check and she didnt seem to understand at all that that check was for the September payment. If she had taken the time to look at my payment history she would see that the Past months have all been paid for and it is on the payment history. Any way she said she would get it fixed as soon as 3 days.

Four days went by and Nothing so I started to call Birch again and after 4 attempts and 4 more hours of waiting finally a guy answered who when I asked his name said Jess. He was a foreign fellow who I could not understand with his bad English. But in the essence of it all he said he would fix the problem and it would be done within 72 hours. We hung up. 4 days later I get an email from Birch and my monthly bill is now 106.37. They have not acknowledged my payment and certainly cashed my check as I have the cancelled check in hand. I am really upset after all these years that they would do this to me and evidentally others as well. I did an investigation of the bank that cashed the check Suntrust Bank and looked them up on the internet and their are many reports of the same type of bad service and taking money from people. What Id like to know is that is Birch and the Suntrust Bank working together??

It seems like they both have the same deal taking money and not talking or fixing the problems but keeping the money. I have contacted the BBB about this problem and hope they can find a resolution which is to fix my account with the payment.
