After an investigation by Rip-off Report, we found that Blue World Pools is actively resolving complaints and addresses contractor issues. This EDitor has reviewed the Reports regarding Blue World Pools and has found a real and dedicated effort by Blue World Pools' management team to effectively resolve past, present, and future complaints. Blue world pools advertised on the radio they had among others a 15ft x 24ft pool installed in your ready site for $300. They advertised on TV and Radio (KLIF 570). I checked their website(www.blueworldpools.com) and contacted them and they sent out a sales man. They said he would need 90 minutes of our time. He pitched all their other pools as well as the $300 pool. The others priced at $16,796 and 18,522 for a 24 ft round pool. When he was done with his presentation, he told me that the pool I wanted would cost an additional $385 for shipping and handeling. I also had to submit a letter from my attourney that they would be held blameless if an accident occured with their pool. Then he called his boss. Karm then had me talk to his boss who told me that federal/ state requirements required the homeowner to have $300,000 in insurance before I could purchase the pool even if I installed it myself.
To me, it seemed that this was a bait and switch tecqnique. Even though I was interested in the lower price pool, they made it nearly impossible for me to purchase it. It also seemed like false advertising since I saw no mention of the additional cost on their website(Especially the cost of an attourney for the letter and the $300,000 homeowners insurance.
I didn't complain to the company because I feel they know exactly what they are doing. They have an address listed on the web in Carson City. That is why I am contacting you. I am also going to cantact the radio station that advertised them as well as the attourney generals office in Texas. Thank you.

I do not want to speak to or do business with them again. I would like to see them change their practices so that customer service rep would be required by law to state the extra requirements $300000 homeowners insurance, a letter from an attourney, and the $375 freight charge before sending a salesman. I would like to see them prosecuted (if applicable) if they do not do this.
