American Express advertises the Bluebird debit card has mobile check deposit.  That service will not connect online.

CUSTOMER NON-SERVICE   When trying to get the problem solved, one is first faced with a Phillippinnes call center which cannot answer your questions about the service failure, then puts you on hold and eventually hangs up.   They try to blame Ingo Money, the deposit processor.  A window appears, suggesting you contact Inbo but providing no way to do so.  Finally, after WEEKS of fighting this problem, we reached Ingo, which informed us the window was American Express', not theirs.  Ingo had nothing to do with the problem.

I finally reached a guy named Tony Williams at American Express executive solutions.  This is apparently a call center overseas and Ton is the only respondent.  800-297-6196 X125682.  Tony does not respond to callbacks.  Then, after a week, he will leave a message that he is working on the problem.  A week after that, I get another Tony Williams voicemail that says technical support is working on the problem and will call me.  Five days later, I get a call from customer support, which drops the connection to technical support; then a call from customer support which leaves no callback number but says everything has been fixed.  I try again, but there is absolutely no change. The mobile check deposit fails in exactly the same way.

I call Tony, give him a well-deserved cussing, and suggest he not call back.

The only way to get service out of American Express Bluebird is to hassle their directors until they lean on their executives to get their techs to solve the problem.  I invite you to join me in that solution.  Takes a little digging, but it does get results.       ir.americanexpress.com/Officers-and-Directors

Why are you even messing around with these stupid cards? Go to a local bank and open a checking account. You will have regular access to your money and somebody local to answer your questions. Oh wait, let me guess....you probably can't get a checking account due to your overdraft history.
