First of all, be wary if a company CONTACTS YOU!!! Business Recovery Services contacted me and talked me into purchasing their kit for $199.00 to recoup my money from SMC. I received only 4-5 letters typed and that's it. Then said they could help me more for a commission of 25% of the refund they could get me. I tried to get a refund for the kit and they said no. I went through the BBB and BRS still said no.

I decided to try to get the refund from SMC on my own. It only took about 7 weeks and I had the money in the bank!!! Yes, all of it!! When I had contacted the BBB against Business Recovery Services, I had to submit all of my documents to prove I didn't use the BRS kit. But they still said no to a refund and since I used their company name in one letter, they put me on their referral list.

I told them that I would only bad-mouth them to everyone who called me and they didn't care. (Dumb company).

So I spent time using up my cell minutes helping others and deferring them from BRS. Then I decided to take the time to write down my method along with my contacts for SMC and TRULY help other SMC victims. If you are an SMC victim and want to get information on how to recoup your money, contact me at (((email redacted))).

It's sad when we get taken by a company, but then to have another company (Business Recovery Services) take advantage of a victim is EVEN WORSE!!!! How low can they get!!

SMC PROVIDES FULL REFUND TO THEA JUST BY THREATENING TO USE BUSINESS RECOVERY SERVICES

AUTHOR: Business Recovery Services - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, July 20, 2009

Thea has totally and intentionally misrepresented (1) her relationship with Business Recovery Services, (2) her use of Business Recovery Services' name, and (3) the fact that she recovered her money by threatening to use our services.

On November 10, 2009, Thea purchased a Do-It-Yourself Business Recovery Kit to assist her in her efforts to attempt to recover her money from a company called Specialty Merchandise Corporation (SMC) and/or its affiliated companies. On November 17, 2009 Thea has signed for the kit, acknowledged its delivery, and had it in her possession. On November 20, 2009, she requested a refund. Since the only acceptable reason for a refund is if there is an error in the kit, Business Recovery Services declined her request for a refund. Thea simply modified the letters in her kit and sent them to SMC.

First and foremost, Thea recovered $8,046.00 simply by threatening to use the services of Business Recovery Services. It's amazing that Thea has the intestinal fortitude to complain about spending $199.00 for an SMC recovery kit that has yielded a recovery of $8,046!!!! There's a reason why the BBB didn't help Thea in her attempts to obtain a refund from Business Recovery Services. The reason is simple. Business Recovery Services delivered, as promised.

Second, Thea suggests that she only received four or five letters. The kit contains much more. The kit has letters to each of the four major credit cards (VISA, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express) accepted in the United States. In addition, the kit has letters to the appropriate (1) Attorney General's Office and (2) Better Business Bureau location, as well as to the Internal Revenue Service and the United States Postal Inspector's Office. The kit also has a list of the companies for which Business Recovery Services has put a kit together, as well as a testimonial list of people who have successfully recovered their money either by (1) sending in the kit's contents or (2) using the recovery services of Business Recovery Services. There is a Contingency Fee Agreement available if the client wishes to have Business Recovery Services attempt to recover his/her money on his/her behalf. There is a contact list of all the state, federal, and consumer advocacy agencies if the client wishes to contact them either in writing or by telephone.

Third, Thea suggests that she "only used their company name in one letter." This is another ludicrous falsehood. I have attached all of the letters in which Thea threatens to use the services of Business Recovery Services if she didn't receive a refund. They are as follows:

I have been very dissatisfied. I was told I could make money by signing up for SMC for $314. But I wanted to work solely over the internet so the coach (I think Kevin) said I just needed a gift card redemption website and pay a monthly host fee. So I did. Then I got a call from another coach (Hope) and was told I could do much better with a deluxe website. So I got that. Then when I talked to Andrew Jackson, he said I didn't really need the deluxe website and not to get any more tools unless I talk to him first. So now I am 2 and a half months into SMC and I made about $25 and am debt $9212.00. And now Andrew says I need to do the million email marketing campaign for $1000. I cannot afford to go deeper in debt. You people don't seem to try to help new business owners to get their business going or to let them know the scoop. Like I can't even get a printout of all the tools and prices available and what was needed
