This company called & offered free winnings to the people residing at my address. I was new to the place I moved & they specified that since Iam the person residing at this address, I would be given the prize money that was won by a previous renter. I wasn't aware of potential fraud. Then on pretext of being able to verify my identity, they asked me for the details on my Bank Cheque. When asked why they needed the cheque information, they said that no one else but I would be in possession of my cheque & person who would deliver the prize money will ask for the cheque & verify the details & ask me to show him the cheque to verify my identity. Iam from a place where all this kind of stuff doesn't happen. My ignorance was what they used against me.

Then they made me speak to their supervisor who spoke to me in technical language, which I wouldn't understand. By this time, it was too late to even deny anything as they kept on assuring that everything is fine & I can even read the instructions that would come along & all that crap. When finally, I received a package from the company, there was no one who asked for my identity.Instead I found out that it was a subscription to some membership & they billed me $119.90 the day I spoke to them last. Also I called back & canceled everything within the 30 days & they should have sent me my refund. Repeated requests for refund fell on deaf ears. They prolonged the matter saying that they would be mailing the cheque & sometimes they said they already mailed it & maybe it did not reach me.They cleverly avoided the whole refund issue for more than 3 months. Someone then suggested me talking to my bank & when I contact my bank officials, they said they can't do anything after 60 days of withdrawal. I realized that seeking help from the bank is no use.

I even filed a complaint with BBB in the hope that my request would be heard & I would be refunded my amount. But instead, the company just chose to not respond to my request even via BBB. The company is now listed under "F" rating. Please join forces to stop this evil company from ripping off innocent people. Hopefully some lawyer/attorney seeking interest would fight against this company on behalf of us all. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!
