I just tried to purchase a buff female puppy from Candy Courchesne from Camic Cockers in Three Rivers, MA.
I had first pick of the litter seeing I was the first person to buy a puppy from that particular litter. Candy told me the price was $900 for a female. She said she required a $300 deposit in order to reserve a puppy, with the second payment of $300 due when the puppies were three weeks old and the balance of $300 due a few weeks after that, I can't remember exactly when. I never signed a contract, in fact Candy never mentioned anything about requiring a signed contract.
Well, I was at my home in FL when the second payment was due and Candy said it was ok, I could pay her when I went to see the puppies. This coming Friday is the day I was scheduled to pick up my puppy (7-15-11).
This is the second puppy I have purchased from her and I had such a difficult time obtaining the registration papers with him that I emailed her and said to please have the registration papers ready when I picked up the puppy.
I was shocked when she emailed me back and I was told that I couldn't get the papers until she had proof that the puppy was spayed! She also went on to say that HER kennel name HAD to be on the registration papers. She also said if the puppy was not spayed by the time she was five
months old that she cold repossess the puppy! This was the first I heard about any spaying or use of her kennel name. I certainly do not want her kennel name on my puppies papers because of her shady reputation.
I emailed her back and told her I NEVER signed anything agreeing to have this puppy spayed and I felt if I was going to pay $900 for a puppy that it should not come with a list of stipulations. I never thought anything about having her spayed as when I bought the male puppy there was no mention about having him neutered!
I told her would not agree to any of the above and to please send my deposit back. She then said the deposit was NON-REFUNDABLE!
I told her she could either 1. have the full registration papers ready and I would pick up the puppy this Friday or I would take her to court for my deposit. She replied by saying "I live in Haines City FL, I will either see you in court there or see you Friday, the choice was mine".
I went back on her website and she now has TWO different sites, on listed in Three Rivers and one listed in Hainescity FL. I am sure she is running off to FL because she wore out her welcome here.
I told her I will go to the local court tomorrow to file a small claim against her and if she does in fact go to FL, I will be down at my house in three weeks and file in Florida.
I will supply the court with BOTH of her addresses and if she is in fact in FL, then SHE will have to return to MA to go to court as that is where I purchased the puppy.
I also plan on posting a picture that she sent me of the litter of puppies mine was in. They were all in a cage loaded with feces!
BEWARE - STAY AWAY FROM CANDY AND CAMIC COCKERS, IT'S NOT WORTH IT!!!

her first dog was sold to be fixed and has a signed contract. if she didnt fix him, that i will have to take up with small claims court.
These back yard breeders have no regard to the health of the breed. They dont do eye testing or anything need to have a healthly, happy, puppy. I will not sell a puppy to anyone for a breeding dog unless its discussed upfront and provisions are made to do eye testing at the right age.
Breeding/show puppies are more money and stay under my guidance.
She thought she would try and sneak by me. NO WAY! She admitted she read my website. my contract is right there. DON'T PLAY DUMB.

My contract is on my "ONE" cocker spaniel website. It always has been. You are a back yard breeder, as i find out, and lied to me. Your not getting a breeding/show dog at a pet price. You had your chance to pick up your puppy YOU CHOOSE NOT TOO.
Several times you had the opportunity to come. But you couldnt pull a fast one over on me.....
Whenever your ready, a puppy of equal quality will be available to you, when you finish paying for it.
My contract will be the same as it has been.

I am not playing games with Candy, I work full time and don't have time for her nonsense. If you review all her complaints, they go on and on and on. Only people with nothing better to do have time for such nonsense as she replies with lies, lies, and more lies.
I am leaving now to go to Palmer Court to file charges against her. The bottom line is I signed NO contract, wasn't even aware of one as I didn't scrutinize her entire website(s). All I want is either a full registration or my money back, pure and simple.

I have bought a puppy from Candy and I couldn't be more happier with her. She handled everything very professionally and with the all the thought and care for my puppy. And her house is very clean and well taken care of. She gave me tons of articles on puppy training, she even gave me a starter puppy pack which was great. I don't know where this lady gets her accusations when SHE HASN'T BEEN TO THE Courchesne residence. Her contract is set and dry and what's best for her, the puppy, and YOU the purchaser!

Marilyn called me and wanted a"pet". My sales agreement is on my website. NO big mystery. I emailed it to her. She gave me a song about no computor. I mailed it to her. The next payment was due. Nothing. Time to pick out your puppy, she never showed. I was constantly asking for the sales agreement. Now its time to pick up puppy. I reminded her to bring cash, no checks at this point, and she has to sign agreement. (no one has ever gotten a puppy from me without signing my sales agreement)

she wants FULL AKC. Didnt tell me she had one of my dogs already. She got her papers for her first puppy in a timely fashion,thats a fact. SHE IS doing the "bait and switch"! People constantly try to buy exceptional quality puppies from me as a pet with limited AKC to be spayed, to turn around with the AKC number and get CKC papers for their dog. They breed them to inferior males, don't do health testing...JUST TO TRY AND MAKE MONEY...with NO regard to health and temperment of our beloved pets. NOT WITH MY DOGS YOUR NOT!
NOW(because of these scammers) I dont give out the papers until i get a conformation from a qualified vet that the puppy was fixed, then i mail out your papers. I do also sell dogs with full akc for $1200 with co-ownership till their Eye test can be done at a year old then i sign the dog over. You did your part as a responsible breeder so our new pet owners have a better chance of having a healthy dog for the next 16 years.
My deposits are non-refundable. As it states on my website. I am more that willing to let Marilyn Perron have her puppy she wanted. Pet or full akc. I have a contract to sign just like everyone else does. To protect the puppy and myself from people exploiting my good name.
