My trouble started about 7 months ago. My husband and I moved to a new town, and I was the only one with a job, my husband has been looking for a job, but they are somewhat hard to come by right now. Anyway, right before we moved I had an issue, actually with another company on this website Starter Credit Direct and had to close my account. Unfortunately this account is where all my bills were coming, so I had to send information into Chrysler informing them of why they the account was closed and asking them to start sending me a bill. Apparently they didn't receive the message.

Right now I honestly have more bills than I have money, and I have to prioritize what I pay, if I don't receive a bill from you I'm not going to pay you, not that I'm trying to rip you off, it just honestly wont cross my mind, and with everything that I have going on right now it's just, and I know this is completely my fault, but it's just not something I thought about when I was paying bills because I didn't have a bill in front of me.

I fell two payments behind and apparently that was the key to getting the bill. So I got the bill for 900 dollars. With only one person working I could not pay all of that at one time. At that point I didn't have a phone, because I lost mine, and I was in the process of getting a new one, with a new number. So I sent in a payment of $50, with that bill, before the payment was actually due, stating that I would pay, I forget the exact amount, but it was enough to catch me up, over the next 2 pay periods, if there were any problems, please email me, and I included my email address and stated the reason I didn't have a phone.

I heard nothing from them, until June 30th when I got a phone, I checked messages on my old phone. There was a message from a person named Beth Williams and I called the number, the number I called didn't give me the option to press an extension. I told him why I was calling and he took my information and then informed me that I had to pay $800 something dollars or they were going to repossess my car today, I was shocked, and tried to explain the letter, which he didn't care about at all but immediately asked if I could pay, and I told him I couldn't but I was willing and able to stick to pay in the increments that I had described or work something else out, because I only make so much money a pay period, and frankly power, and water, and gas, and food for my daughter and myself and my husband take priority, and then rather than actually listen to me he asked if I had any friends or family I could borrow the money from and then pay them back on my pay days, or a credit card I said I did not. I then told him what happened, and he said very condescendingly well were is the money you would have used for your car. I told him it was spent on other bills, I wasn't hording money away for my car payment waiting for a bill so I could pay it, or I would have just paid it. He then told me that my story didn't make any sense, basically calling me a lair. He went on to say, Why, I know you have other bills, but this is your car.At that point I wanted to speak with the person who I received the message he stated she wasn't here. And then I stated I wanted to speak with a supervisor, he said that didn't matter. Before I hung up on him he screamed, and I mean literally screamed, at me WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO WITHOUT YOUR CAR. I said, I guess I'll find out, and then hung up.

I then took some time to calm down and called back, at this point I just asked to speak with a supervisor, so I did once again I explained the situation, and I got more of the same reaction. I told him that I did not receive a letter, and I am not calling the company liars, I just have not received a letter stating that my car was going to be repossessed if I didn't pay. I also said that I did have a new number and it needed to be updated, again I was not blaming the company for not having it, I was simply stating that the reason they did not get through to me was because of this situation. However, I was quickly informed that it is my responsibility to update my information with them; they are not responsible for that, which I understand but his tone of voice made it sound like how dare you even exist let alone try and explain something. At one point during the conversation, after battling back and forth, trying to get him to listen to what I was saying, I finally just said, look I cannot make that payment, so just come get the car, because I'm sick of this and frankly right now because Chrysler's situation I now owe more on my car than what it's worth, he quickly tried to inform me that the car company is the one with financial trouble not this company, and although I didn't get a chance to say this, I do know that, but their situation is tied directly to the fair market value of my car, which as I said is now worth less than what I owe. He then asked did you lose your job, I just don't understand how you are having trouble making the payments with a job, well let me clarify that, when you have 1 job and support three people, plus student loan debt, and your husband has been out of work for 7 months, I think it is pretty easy for anyone else to understand difficultly and try to work something out, apparently these two reps have never been in that situation before.

At that point I was really frustrated, not so much at the situation because I knew about the situation, and I was to be as corporative as I could, but I can't pay more than I have, I just can't, but at the treatment that I had received from the two reps. He then asked me how much I had in my bank account, I said well I checked it this morning and I had about $500 in it, and then he said, ok what we can do is set up withdrawal now for the $500 and then the rest for the 9th when you get paid. At that point I said I would have to check my account again and make sure and call him back. He said, no this has to be taken care of now, we can't depend on you to call us back, and you just stated that you checked it the morning. The tone in his voice, made it sound like that was the most insane thing that has ever come out of my mouth. I was so mad I couldn't speak. I said yes that is true, but I do have things pending, and I wasn't expecting this to happen today, so before I set anything up I need to contact them, and find out exactly how much I am able to pay, plus I have already sent in a payment, and if I make this I will have to factor in a $30 canceled check fee. I am currently on my lunch break, and I have no access to my account right now. He then said he would hold while I called my bank and made sure I had the money I said I did, and to see what checks I had written that were going to clear, while I was on hold my call with him got disconnected. So I called back, and to my wonderful surprise I spoke with a rep that was actually decent, his name was Brandon, or Brendon J and he took my payment information and stated that everything was taken care of. However, while I was on the phone with him the supervisor I was working with called back, and I have saved that message were he, didn't even give me the benefit of the doubt , but simply stated that hanging up was not the way to handle this and to call him back.

I thought that would be the end of it, boy was I wrong. On July 12, the money still had not come out of my bank account, and I received a Western Union statement with the confirmation numbers and the payment information, although I noticed that the bank account number was wrong. Instead of calling and dealing with that again. I sent in a letter, stating that it still hadn't come out of my bank account and I am sending in the correct information along with the copies of the payment agreement I sent in a voided check so that the payments could be made. I sent it certified mail, with return receipt so I know they received it. This month's bill was made on time, and cleared my bank account. Now, the money that was agreed upon still has not come out of my account, but the money is in there and I have given them all the information they need, I cannot make them take the money out of my account. I have also called 2 different reps and given them my account information, still it did not come out.

Yesterday, my car got repossessed when I called to figure out what the problem was, I was told that I would have to pay the fees associated with everything, which they wont know until Monday or Tuesday, meanwhile, my car sits accruing $30 a day in the repo lot.
