Called my job, threatened to throw in me in jail, called me a deadbeat, repo the car when I had just made a payment the day before. If you sue, let me in on it. I've taped several of their conversations.
These people are sick do not do business with them.

No, I don't think it's fair if you fall behind on the bill and due to ONLY THAT FACT you call a company a scam. This company uses cheap tricks and tactics, and not all of them are legal (check your local laws and you can confirm this yourself).

I got laid off from my job, which was unexpected as I was told we would be working all year around, that is the only reason why I fell behind, and was only behind a month and a half. They tacked on all kinds of interest rates, fees, and adjusted amounts (IE Tell you "on the 10th you will be paying $534.00" then they end up taking more unauthorized). See, this company gets you hook, line, and sinker...they know you are a credit risk that is how they finance you, but they take advantage of that fact and obviously your disadvantage. They have lied to me, more than once...claimed I am further behind than I am, and have jacked up my payment now so it's much harder to catch up.

From what I am reading, this company is not fine if you make all the payments on time either, as you can read for yourself and find the complaints that the people paid all the payments on time and they refuse to relinquish the title.... There is obviously something wrong here...

I don't think you are telling the whole story...

I had a loan through Triad Financial a few years ago. First of all, Triad is not a conventional lender. They specialize in loans for people who are credit challenged. Remember that they are servicing consumers who have proved that they are not credit worthy, haven't historically paid their bills on time, and in a lot of cases won't pay Triad on time, if they pay at all. Is it annoying that they call you if you are a day late? Yes, but they have a right to and I can't blame them. I paid a few days late a couple of times, and my car was never repossessed. In my experience (I was young and stupid) your car won't get repossessed until there is no other alternative...the consumer is not communicating, can't promise a payment date, or is months in arrears. But technically they do have the right to repossess if you are a day late, with or without notification. You signed a contract to pay a certain amount on the same due date every month, and I'm guessing that you didn't honor that. I am sure that Triad contacted you many times, via telephone and through correspondence, and repossession was probably the last straw. I see this all the time on this website and it really is unfair to the company that is being incorrectly accused of being a "ripoff". Tell the whole story at least.
