Card Cash Hides behind Walmarts name to steal and scam New Jersey

My daughter got gift cards for Christmas that do not have any local facilities to use them so we looked into trading them for cash or cards we could use.  We rejected using most because of my fear of being scammed, but found a very legitimate looking site saying Wal-Mart was buying back unwanted gift cards in exchange for a Wal-Mart e-gift card.  Looked and sounded legit and easy as Walmarts logo was everywhere!

we were offered a decent amount for our cards and I gave them the card numbers and PINS for the cards.  They asked for a credit card number (which made me a little wary but they claimed it was to prevent fraud).  Ahem.  I stupidly gave it and they gave me an order number.  A later e-mail said my transaction could not go thru and they had no further info.

well, now I was nervous.  So today I looked to see if there was any weird activity on my card, and sure enough, a charge from cardcash in New Jersey is pending.  There is not yet an amount but I'm scared.  I plan to call my credit card co ASAP.

i am grateful to ripoffreport because I read about someone else that was pulled into this scam because of their use of Walmarts name and reputation to lend legitimacy to their scam.  I plan to contact Walmart, like this other victim did and also advise my credit card company that my card has been compromised.

its a shame there are so many dirt bags in this world!!
