CBCS very unprofessional, buys old debts, since it was a medical bill......they knew what the vivit to the ER was for which violates my patient confidentiality rights Columbus Ohio

I recieved a phone call from the company CBCS and they immediately asked me for my social and phone number. I refused because I have no idea who this company is or what they wanted. They stated they were attempting to collect a debt and that I had to pay today. I again refused and the man was asking me if it was identity theft since the bill was not mine to pay. I said no I went to the ER while I was covered under medicaide and they were responsible for this bill and it should have been paid by medicaide not me. I also asked why I never saw this on my credit reports since I check them regularly, he had no answer for that and mind you these services were in 2002 and it is now 2009.

I called the medicade people and they said that it should have been paid by the company who sponsored the medicaide account beck in 2002. I have also e-mailed the hospital to alert them of this as well. I did hang up on the guy when he would not let me talk and he tried to call back right after, I didn't answer. They seem very shady to me and I will get to the bottom of this as I have plently of time! I hope they will not continue to geet away with scamming people because from what I have read this is all they are A BUNCH OF SCAM ARTISTS!
