Four weeks prior to my move - i decided to use Certified Relocations for my cross country move to Los Angeles from Silver Spring, MD.

The correspondences I had with the representative - Todd Saunders, was actually really pleasant. He spoke on all the ways they are here to help and blah blah blah.

In our intitial emails and the email THE DAY BEFORE the movers arrived I was instructed to bubble wrap my glass pictures, glass tables, and mirrors. The actual email is as follows:

Hi;

I just emailed you a binding quote. Based on yoru inventory, I can move everything for you. But I do need your help. Please bubble wrap the mirrors, pictures and glass top desk.

Please contact me Monday to confirm.

The day before they arrived we spoke on the phone and I asked if bubble wrapp is all I needed? He said, "yes. The moves will have the boxes and blankets to wrap and pack and you dont have to wrorry about anything else."

Fast forward to moving day. The movers come in and say - You need to have these packed in boxes. Wait - what? I specifically asked Todd if all i need was bubble wrap and he proclaimed emphattically with a yes!

Call and spoke with Todd who referred me to his supervisor. ABSOLUTE RUDE! Yelling on the phone. Telling me that bubble wrap wasnt enough and Todd MEANT to say box as well. Well, its not my fault that your representative mispoke.

This is a complete BAIT and SWITCH tactic. In all fairness it could very well be just a lack of training but screwing over the customer without making things right. The supervisor then tells the driver I am waiving my packing rights. I never agreed to that. Ended up paying an extra amount.

These people know that when you are moving you are strapped for time and you have zero negotiaiting power. THe amount of time is not worth taking them to court but between this and filing a report with the Better Business Bureau i will have to be content.

Find someone else more reputable. These folks are the epitomy of unprofessional!

Note: The movers were just doing their jobs and personally were understanding but only following orders. The office people are the ones that are awful!
