Circuit City Purchased item online, never received, now the doors have closed for good Internet

In December, I purchased an item from Circuity City's Website. I paid extra shipping so that it would be delivered sooner. To my dismay, I did not receive my item. Granted it was not something expensive, but still I did pay for it.

I decided to give it a few days before trying to contact them. Today, I went on the website to report to them that I did not receive my item. In doing that, I found that the store has gone out of business.

The amount of money that I spent is not really my issue. It is the fact that I payed for my item and it was supposed to be delivered to me before the store announced that it had closed. I can only imagine how many people also paid for items in-store or on the website, and will never receive their purchases.

I think that this is horrible, especially, again, because I should have received my item earlier anyway.
